Crayola first tadoodle crayons

Anyone every buy these with the big ball animal to hold onto?  Are they better than the bigger triangle crayons or pretty much the same?

Target has a really nice wood frame with a magnetic door for easily swapping out kids art.  I think the crayons would go well with that as a gift for Grandma's house.

Re: Crayola first tadoodle crayons

  • Gavin got some for his first birthday, and even at 19 months, I think they're really awkward for him to hold.  He does better with regular crayons.

  • We have them, and in my opinion they're awful.  They're way harder to use than the Crayola thick crayons.  Rosie loves to color, and she can't use the tadoodle ones.
  • Ditto both PPs.  You're better off with washable crayons and/or markers.
  • The big washable crayons are the way to go.

  • We have the markers and they are terrible! The way they are weighted to sit, when Charlie picks them up the marker part gets all over the palm of his hand.

He does fine w/ regular crayons (and the fat ones too) and markers. Save your money :)

    ditto to this and PP's

Bella enjoys her regular crayons so much more.
