Still no word...

So a couple of you emailed me asking if I have heard back on that job interview. Nope! The final interview was last Friday (a week ago) and they said they would contact me by the end of this week. Still no word from them. So my best guess is either they haven't decided or I was runner-up and they are waiting to get a response from the person they offered the job to before they cut me loose. Anyone work in HR? Is that pretty much how the process goes? How long does it typically take to hear back after the final interview? Ugh. I hate waiting.

waiting is the worst! Ugggh!

They could also be doing background check or checking references and having a hard time completing them as well.

I suspect they will call you next week. Do you know if they called you references for a ref check?

OH - and as you can see I am on CD 50. I hate waiting for AF too! I'm totally impatient these days....

I hate waiting to hear about a job. Don't they know we are on pins and needles until we get that call???? I hope you hear something soon. Good luck!

As far as I know they haven't called my references. I checked with two of them yesterday and they hadn't heard from them yet. One of them (she's on the top of my list) said she'd call me the minute she got off the phone with them. They haven't called her yet.

quite often things come up and they run out of time in a week to get everything done, depending on work related crisis or something that comes up for them that they push the hiring process back a little until they can get to it.... I am not trying to give you false hope here but it happens all the time.

Ugh, I'm sorry.

HR can get backed up...maybe they're waiting on references or clearance on salary requirements?

Boo on both accounts Kelin. Like we talked about before, I would give them a call on Monday since they said they would call you bythe end of this week regardless. My fingers are super crossed for you.

Thanks doll. I just don't want to seem pushy about it. But maybe I'll shoot him an email Monday or Tuesday of next week if I haven't heard anything. Someone needs to teach me patience.

Ugh, I hate that. Sometimes it just takes a while for all the decision-makers to get together. Were you the last person interviewed?

It took from March until June for me to get an offer for my current job. Sometimes they're just slow as hell.

OMG.. 4 months! I applied for this job 2 months ago. At the 1 month mark I had the first interview, the second interview was at the 2 month mark. I really hope they dont make me wait another month or two to find out. I interviewed on the last day so I know they are working on a decision. I will just be patient. After hearing you waited for 4 months I am a little more hopeful that I am still being considered!
