I am SO fcuking pissed right now

I am fuming!

I just spent THREE hours at the salon getting a color, cut and dry. THREE HOURS.  If that was my only problem I'd be exctatic but nooo.....

I wanted to go red so that's what I asked for.  Mind you, I went to a beauty school (mistake number 1) there was very little supervision from the teachers.  While they were drying my hair I noticed that even though my roots looked red, I couldn't really see a difference in the rest of my hair.

Sure enough, I just got home and looked.  Guess what...the top of my head is read but the rest is the same color I had before (my natural hair color, it was all virgin hair)!!!!!  To make matters worse, the cut looks absolutely NOTHING like what I requested.  Nada, zero, zilch.  It doesn't look bad but it's not what I asked for.

To add insult to injury, they didn't clean me up after the color application so now I look like I've been beat up.  I have stains on my forehead and my neck.  I wanna freaking cry.

This wasn't cheap either, and especially not for a beauty school.  I may just have to get a pixie cut now so at least all my hair is the same color.

  • I would go back and request they fix the color, at least.

  • I would be hacked too.  I think you should go back and complain, and make them do what you paid them for, if you can.

I use eye makeup remover to get hair dye stains off my skin.  Hopefully that will work for you.

  • Go back and make one of the instructors fix it for free.
  • Go back to them and ask them to corrent the color. I would be pissed too...
  • Go back to them and ask them to correct the color. I would be pissed too...
  • Go back and insist that they fix it. I would probably request an instrutor fix it.

    This!

  • I had this happen once (with the big difference being I had them put light highlights in.) I bought a few boxes of cheap, dark, home hair color and fixed it myself. It's risky but my thought was....I can't make it much worse...right?
  • Ditto PP's, go ask them to fix it. If they refuse, ask for a refund so you can go get it fixed elsewhere. They're not doing themselves any favors by having unsatisfied clients, even before they get their license and work in a salon with no supervision.

  • That happened to me two weeks before my wedding. It wasn't a school, just a regular salon that apparently sucked. My hair was a lighter brown and I was going a light reddish color. The top half of my hair was reaaaally light, the bottom half was the same color I went in with. I FREAKED and said "there is no way I'm paying for this. This is AWFUL. I'm going to have to wear a hat until I can pay someone else to fix it." She kept offering to "call the color line" and fix it, but I wouldn't let her touch it. After arguing a bit, she said I had to pay for the cost of the dye, so I did, but it was super cheap.

When I went to the second salon, the lady was like "Oh, did you try to dye it yourself?" and was horrified when I told her what happened. She wasn't able to get the color I wanted because my hair was so damaged by the first attempt she was scared my hair would be unmanageable if she tried to get the rest light. But it all ended up one solid, pretty color at the end, so it was okay!

I would go back and see if an instructor (NOT another student) could fix it for free or insist on getting your money back so you can take it somewhere else.
