3rd Trimester

what's your hair like?

I'm assuming it's from the prenate's...but my hair is great!  It sorta feels weird, but I don't have to wash it everyday and it stays healthy/shiny looking but not greasy!

And my leg hair...I haven't shaved since last saturday and it's still not as bad as (almost a week later) as it was pre-preg two days later. WEIRD!

Re: what's your hair like?

  • Almost the direct opposite. My hair has become so greasy and oily and I have an awful awful dry scalp. I serisouly look like I'm going through puberty again.

  • it's the same as it was pre-preggo.
  • My hair (on my head)  has grown a little faster, i think...and I definitely don't have to wash it as much. And i've only shaved my legs one time my entire pregnancy. And the hair on my arms is non existent. It's been nice!
  • My hair and nails have been growing like crazy and they are both really strong.  I have also noticed that I can skip a day here and there with washing my hair and it feels so nice a healthy.  Surprisingly DH has even made comments about my hair looking shiny and feeling soft!

  • My hair is super thick although I am finding my shampoos are not rinsing or just washing like the used to. My hair always feels weighed down and icky.
  • My hair has been amazing up until a few days ago. Now it gets greasy way faster and is flat Sad It has been BEAUTIFUL this whole pregnancy until now!

My leg hair grows way slower now too, I love it!

  • My hair looks healthier and it doesn't fall out at ALL (I have really thick hair and used to shed a lot). I think the hair on my legs grows more slowly than it used to, but I shave everyday, just out of habit.
  • My hair only needs washed every few days since being pregnant.  I know it sounds gross, but really if I did it any sooner I think it'd dry out too much even though I use really moisturizing shampoo/conditioner.  I just use some of that freshener spray stuff between washings.

  • It's definitely thicker, which is pretty cool because I have fine hair -just really curly.

I wear pants most of the time and haven't paid much attention to my legs so I can't answer that one.

  • I'm just like you.  Pre-pregnancy I had to wash everyday.  It would start getting greasy by 9PM, but now I only wash it every other day.  Also, it used to fall out, but I've noticed that when I condition I don't see one hair which normally I would have a big clump.

In 1st tri, my body hair seemed to be on Rogain, but now it has slowed down.

  • My hair is falling out!  I don't have a huge bald patch or anything, but it definitely feels thinner and handfuls of it come out when I shower.  Ugh.

  • Enjoy it while you can.  My hair has been falling out in clumps for about 2 months now.  Ok, clumps may be exaggerating, but still.
  • My hair is longgg and really curly. It has started to become greasy in the back underneath the mound of curls. I wash it every other day because my hair gets too frizzy if I wash it every day. My scalp has also become a little more dry, but I think it's because of the weather.

My leg hair is the same. It's always grown really slow. I can go months and months without shaving and people still barely notice it's there. I've been lucky because I hate shaving my legs :)

  • My hair is long, thick, and curlywavy. I love the natural volume I have, but I think it falls out more then it used to pre-preg. It seems a little thinner and harder to brush the knots through :( My leg hair, arm pit hair, upper lip, and eyebrows still grow fast. You guys are lucky!!
