Christmas and testing

I started this cycle on Dec. 1, so Christmas will be CD 25 for me. I usually ovulate around CD14 with my femara, which means that Christmas would be 11dpo. I am thinking that in order to have a good holiday season, that I will wait it out. We do Christmas from December 23-26th (one thing each day), and I don't want to ruin any of my days with a BFN. I am just hoping that I don't cave and try to test anyways. I know I'll be emptying my bladder every five minutes to avoid having enough for a test!

    That would be soooo tempting to me as well Lizzy.  I've always started testing at 11 dpo.  I got my positive with my first pregnancy then.  GL!

    I completely get it. I would try not to test too. Of course, I am the girl who wanted to TTA so I wouldn't be upset when AF arrived on vacation. (BTW, we ended up trying and then AF was a couple days late, so I was depressed when she arrived, but I digress).

    Maybe have your DH hide your tests so you won't be tempted.

    I never POAS.  I just wait for AF.  Now, if AF was late, maybe I would POAS.

    Hi LizzyB...we are close on our cycle days.  I am currently on Femara and am at CD14.  We're using the CBE fertility monitor.  I usually ovulate CD 16 or CD17, so I'll be trying to stay away from the HPT's also.  I totally get where you're at.  Let's stay in touch...we can talk each other out of testing.

    Just out of curiousity, how have you been feeling on the Femara?  I have previously used Clomid and had emotional side effects.  With the Femara I haven't experienced anything out of the ordinary. 

    I am just so excited and I really hope that this is the month for both of us and we get what we want for Christmas!

    Sounds like a plan. I am having an IUI tomorrow and will be 12dpo on xmas day myself :)

    I'd want to test also, but it would ruin my Christmas. Enjoy your holiday.

    I believe my period is due on Christmas day. I usually don't POAS, and I will probably just wait it out as usual. I don't want to be in a funk from seeing a BFN.

    Lucky. AF will be due at my house on the 21st. Just in time to make me all glum. And crampy...although I will have plenty of fudge around to satisfy the unwelcome ho.
