#1- i HATE shopping. i have to go once the boys are in bed (8:00) which leaves me one hour to rush in, try things on that look like crap, blah, blah, blah.
#2- i got these during old navy's 30% off friends and family. we don't have the money to replace them.
Jon washed all of my sweaters once before (like, the month we were married...nearly 5 years ago) and I asked him to never (EVER) wash my sweater again. I guess he forgot.
Ugh. That sucks. I had to restrict Mike's laundry duties early on in our relationship when he dried underwire bras on high heat.
Now the closest he gets to laundry is me saying "there's a load of towels in the washing machine. Please put them in the dryer and turn them on." I don't trust him with anything else.
Wow, that sucks! DH and I set up rules a while ago that if he does laundry, don't put any of my tops (sweaters, work shirts, etc). After several rounds of me being pissed about the outcome of my shirts in the dryer, he finally listened! I'm sorry and I hope you can replace them quickly!
UGH! That really sucks. There's no way I could afford to replace all my sweaters at once either, and it's not like you can just go out and buy a season's worth of sweaters at once anyways
Before DH ever touched my laundry I told him NOT to. He always asks about everything before putting it in the dryer, then for some reason last month he decided to put a load of my laundry in the dryer. Thankfully there wasn't as much damage as you had ... just one t-shirt shrunk.
That sucks. But just to give my DH props, he does our laundry... hangs my pants and lays all sweaters out flat. It took ALOT of coaching! AND shopping. Guess he got tired of paying to replace things. He can even sort and use the bazillion functions on the washer. Sorry that happened.
It's a long shot, but you could try taking them back for an exchange. I have a friend who used to work there, and she told me they take back just about everything. I once took back a broken flip flop because she told me that, (I'd had them for months) and they replaced them. I was really surprised.
Since they are from Old Navy, try to exchange them. They really are accomidating. I have had friends return torn jeans years later and get a new pair. They usually stand behind their products. It is worth a shot at least.
If you want to get Old Navy coupons check out oldnavyweekly.com. You can hunt for coupons on there. I usually get atleast a 20% off, but you can win $75 off $100 purchase. Just some ideas for you.
Re: AAaaarg! (husband + laundry = vent)
SUCK!!!!!!
....that's why I don't let the hubs do laundry at our house....
Although I would be mad this situation would never happen b/c it involves DH doing laudry.
Positive: Maybe you can go shopping again
yeah. that's the problem.

I'd like to say "At least your husband does laundry" but really, there is no consolation to ruined new sweaters =( That just sucks.
Can Jack wear them?

Sorry again!

Ditto. Ugh.
I have some drying racks, maybe you can wet them and reshape them, and dry them flat. Let me know if you want to try the racks.
It's worked for me in the past.
i think they do it on purpose so they don't have to do laundry...i don't even let DH fold because it stresses me out:)
sorry about your sweaters and maybe santa will replace them!
