Hiccups - late to ask...

So, I have never experienced hiccups with the baby before and I was woken up last night by these little rhythmic (well they felt like) little kicks way over on my side. It went on for several minutes and I know it couldn't be regular movements (she was still moving) because it was rhythmic and lasted so long. I also felt these little bubbly sensations occassionally.

I tried to google hiccups in utero but didn't find any actual descriptions of the sensations. Just curious if this is what it was...

    Sounds like it! I think it feels just like the hiccups, but inside your body inside of you doing it. Does that make sense?

    I bet it was!  I awoke the other morning with LO doing the same exact thing.  I was happy to experience it finally (at least I think she was hiccuping).  It made me smile.

    When my little one gets them it feels almost like a strong heartbeat, but slightly slower than my own resting heartrate.

     He was in just the right position over the weekend and DH could feel his hiccups...DH was so excited he called his mom and told her.  LOL  I was laughing, because it takes A LOT to get him excited!

    Joshua's hiccups feel like repetitive little heartbeats and they last for a minute to three minutes.  Very cute.  He gets them all the time though.  Then he gets cranky about it and wiggles and kicks.  He gets that from DH.

    Certianly sounds like hiccups!  My LO gets them at least once a day...always makes me smile :-)

    Thanks guys. It's funny because my MIL had just asked me if I'd experienced that, and I hadn't. It was weird waking up to it though - I'm pretty sure that I felt it in my sleep and that it was even in my dreams until it woke me up!

    Sounds like hiccups........I had them with my DD and I have just started feeling them with my DS this time around.  They are a bit annoying, just like if you have them yourself:)
