Clothes return vent

This could be totally flame worthy, but I have to vent.

I read a lot of clothes return posts here on bump. So I figured it is pretty common to return clothes even without tags, washed and I would go further and say even worn may be?

My problem with this is where do these clothes go after returns? I assume it is back on the racks for other unassuming customers to buy? That is my biggest pet peeve. If you bought clothes, removed the tags or even better washed them..I think you should keep them. Imagine someone paying full price on these and then getting WASHED clothes?!!! WTF?! Do you want that for your LO?

Enough said. Flame me.

  • I've never heard of clothes getting returned once they are washed and with tags removed...would the store even take them without the tags?

Just read a post below where a bumpie washed the clothes and figured they don't fit her LO and she returned them to OLD NAVY and they took it back. Sorry, don't mean to be rude but I don't my LO in those clothes. Ugh!

ETA: I bought clothes from oldnavy.com and these clothes come without tags in mail.

Wow, that is weird.  I hate thinking about other people trying on my clothes before I wear them lol!

I got some ON stuff through the mail too and thought it was weird that they had no tags

  • Try clothes where the tags have not been removed, they haven't been washed and they've been worn and stained.  I used to work at Banana Republic and this happened all.the.time.  Really gross stains too - and the customer would argue that they'd never been worn because, "See, the tags haven't been removed."  We did have to send them back to the company because there was no way they could be put back on the rack.  But just touching them for the return would send us running for the bathroom and antibacterial soap after the "customer" left the store.

    :(

Too bad. I guess then my point doesn't have a validity. I think it is plain civic sense to stick to something that is worn. And you know what, I sometimes do not wash the clothes I buy for myself becoz I worry the original look would be gone. I guess I should start washing everything I get from the stores.
