Babies: 3 - 6 Months

How many times did your LO wake up last night?

Because mine woke up 7 times. In a 9-hour stretch. She was so restless all night, and I don't even know if she really slept. It seemed like she just dozed and then woke up and then I nursed her... and then repeat. I feel like a zombie! Please tell me this is just a phase!!

  • DD woke up about 2,354,621 times

Maybe your DD is going through a growth spurt?

My LO's sleep has been messed up since 3mths when I came back to work - waking more often to eat etc which I figured was a growth spurt that has rolled right in to the 4mth wakeful which I thought was BS...I'm a dumb@ss...

  • only once last night.  The night before about 5-7 times, but she went back to sleep.  I wonder if it's been a full moon.... a lot of girls have been saying about their babies waking up and normally sleep threw the night.

  • C was up twice (10 and 6) - it was a VERY good night!

It will get better!  Then it may get worse again, then better, then worse, the better.....

  • DS was up three times. Normally I would complain about that but I don't think I have any right to now! lol. It will get better, for sure.
  • 4 times then up for the day at 730...awful.

  • Glad to know I am not alone, I think DD woke up 2million times last night. I do not feel like she or I got any sleep at all. I feel like sh*t.

  • DS was up twice - 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. But then slept until almost 8, which was nice. Pretty typical night round these parts lately!

  • Don't hate me either, once at 2pm then slept till 7am.  He used to STTN until he got sick so I'm hoping to get back to all night once he feels better.

  • Just a phase! Hitting that 3 month growth spurt and 4 month wakeful!

DD went through that when I went back to work.  Now we're down to one time a nightParty!!!

  • Twice.  At 3 am to "sing" to himself. He fell back to sleep on his own.

Then at 5 am because he was starving.

Up for the day at 8:30 am (went to sleep at 10:30 pm).

  • It is a phase!! Mine went through an awful sleeping phase starting right around 4 months. I would be up numerous times per night. Well the past three nights have been glorious-he's slept from 8:00 til 5:30 ish (6:00 today!!) without waking up crying. I did hear him waking up to talk to himself, but he put himself back to sleep with no crying at all!! I am so happy. It will get better.

  • Only two times!!!! He ate at 10:00pm and at 3:00am.  I brought him into bed with me at 6 since he was starting to wake for the day.  He slept until his brother and sister woke us up at 7.  Last night was wonderful for us, I feel like a new person.

  • 4 times from 7-6. he used to do 1 or 2, but regressed about a month ago. but 7 sounds awful!
  • Too many times...12:30, 2:00, 3:00, 6:00, up for the day at 7:30.  I'm going back to sleep as soon as he settles in for a nap.

I never really mention it here but DD has been sttn since 5 weeks. Pretty much every single night. I know this is too good to be true and that I will be hit with a 4,5,6,7 month wakeful. I'm enjoying it while I can.

  • Just once. I put her down at 8pm, she woke up at 4am, then up for the day at 8am.
  • It is just a phase! We have had MANY night like that...but now I'm gonna brag about my night last night...

L went down at 8 and I never heard from him until I heard him laughing at 6:15!

A went down at 8 and he semi-woke up at 1:00 but I just had to pat and rub his belly for not even 5 minutes and he was back out. I had to get him up at 7:15 to put in the car seat to leave!

ETA: Not sure why that showed up blank.  But, darn, I guess the answer is no.

  • Once! Well he went down at 7pm and up at 2am to eat, fussed at 5am (but I didn't go in the room) and then up for the day at 7:20am. I'm in heaven.

Trust me people, I have paid my dues. These past few months, it was the norm for me to get up at least 3 times.

  • 0.  And she wakes up 0 times every night now.

She goes down at 6:30pm and sleeps till 6am (give or take 30 min).  I tell ya... sleep training really does work!

  • It is.  DS goes through phases like that too.  But last night he only woke once around 10:30 - I had to rock him for a couple minutes and he passed out again.  Didn't hear another peep until 7am this morning!

I know you're jealous!!! Stick out tongue

  • ummm....twice. Once when I came home from work at 1245 and the garage door woke him up. And then again at 3, but he just woke up, made a few noises and fell back asleep til 845.....

but a few weeks back when my LO was almost exactly your LO's age, we had a week of awful sleeping. Hopefully this is a phase for you!
