I didn't come on here yesterday, I had a sad Dr. appointment and wasn't sure I would come back. But I can't quit you guys.

My post op appt. for my polyp removal was supposed to be easy, however her first words were "the thing we need to discuss the most is your base u/s yesterday" at that she turned the computer so I could see the list of things that were not normal on it.

Multiple cysts, on both ovaries, and an abnormal exterior or something like that. I looked at her to see her face and could tell she was not hopeful for this IUI to work. I cried. She said its not impossible but the cysts are definitely endo so.... She would love to skip right to IVF but can't because of our insurance. I asked if we could do the IUIs two months in a row so we could move on faster and she said yes so that was good news. she suggested I give their social worker a call to see if I could go in and talk. sigh.... that's all thanks for reading I know its long.
Re: kind of discouraging Dr. appt
I'm sorry
I hate that you had to have bad news, but it's great that she's willing to fly through the IUI's quickly. (and hopefully you'll be happily surprised!)
((hugs))
Is there anyway she can call and talk to the insurance company? I remember someone (I think on the IF board) had a similar situation and the Dr was able to bypass the IUIs after talking it over with the insurance company. If she knows IUIs won't work for some specific reason, it makes sense not to waste the insurance company's $. Give their isurance person a call and see if they can try.
::hugs:: I'm sorry it was a crappy appt.

I'm sorry it didn't go as planned, and jumping through insurance hoops just sucks. Waiting is the worst.
Good luck!((HUGS))
i'm sorry.
i agree with pp - i would have your dr. call and tell them why IUI's won't work. maybe if the ins. co. knows that they are wasting money they will let you bypass them?
GL - i hope you can work something out.
thanks everyone you are all so sweet which is why I stay here. Hugs to all of you!
good idea about the insurance, I might shoot her an e-mail and see what she says.
