You can have this recipe under one condition: You ALWAYS call it Sadie's fudge
My oh-so-wonderful mother yelled at me for giving it away when I called to ask her a question about it.
Ingredients:
2/3 cup Hershey's cocoa
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
peanut butter - HAS to be Jif
Combine cocoa, sugar and salt in a saucepan. Gradually add milk. Bring to a "bubbly" boil on medium heat stirring constantly. Continue to boil without stirring, to 230 degrees, or until a small amount forms a soft ball in cold water. Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and peanut butter.
THIS step requires two people. Someone needs to be stirring while you add in the butter vanilla and peanut butter. You add peanut butter until you get the "right" texture, and it gives the chocolate a shine. (The shine is key, but you have to do all of this quick!) Then make sure you have your lightly buttered dishes already ready and have the second person scoop the fudge onto the dish while you flatten. It WILL set quickly.
It's a huge PITA, but beyond worth it when you're done!

Sadie was my grandmother's name, and we went between Breleigh and Sadie for our DD. She does already have her middle name, but we said we would see which name fit her best when she got here. And she's totally a Breleigh
But my recipe has a picture of my grandma teaching my mom how to make it two weeks before she died. I love it.
