f/u 'down there' issue

Those of you who said varicose veins were correct. OMG does it suck and apparently there is not much you can do, but thankfully they go away pretty quickly after delivery.

Anyone who has had this have any suggestions for me? I've read witch hazel and hot baths help a bit...but I can imagine that by the time these two arrive I will very uncomfortable.

  • My friend had this with ds. It was apparently the darkest scariest purple vein and it hurt like h&$*-she sat on a pillow a lot!

  • My doc told me to keep my feet up as much as possible, If you notice when you get up in the morning it doesn't seem as bad.. But after you have been on your feet, and the weight of the baby is on the veins they swell up pretty quick. He said you could also try compression stockings.. You can get them at the pharmacy. I never got around to it though. Also loose clothing! And no leg crossing (not that you can anyways, haha!) like I said, mine went away pretty quickly..they were gone by the time I was out of the hospital :)
