What should I get for lunch?
The frozen lean cuisine in the freezer just isn't going to cut it today, but I can't decide what sounds good!
Any suggestions? What are you ladies having, or what did you have?

Hmm. I was considering Arby's french dip but last time I had that it came back up a few hours later
I think I need to stay away from fast food, like drive thru style, but will go to other places like Quiznos or the like. I hate being so indecisive and picky

How about Subway - they have some good subs and are kind of healthy.....(sorry - I am on a total sandwich kick right now!)?

For some reason I can only associate eating Taco Bell with being drunk late night style, which obviously is out of the question at the moment hehe.
I have been craving sandwiches too lately. Maybe I will just hit up the Quiznos...it just doesn't sound *awesome* like I want it to though!

Haha! Thanks Stacy! I have actually never been to the Chinese place you are talking about, but I don't think Chinese sounds good right now. Jamba juice won't cut it either. It is getting late so I need to decide soon, and the tummy is grumbling!
I'll take you down to the chinese place when you're up for it - it's down by the high school and hasn't raised prices since I WENT to that high school!
Hmmm. . . what else is close? Tokyo Joe's is right there, is there anything in the Mills that sounds yummy? Or take out from Macaroni Grill or Mimi's? Or there's a Chili's not far, just over in Applewood? I'm running out of ideas here, girl! I'm waiting for DH to get home so we can eat too - I'm starving

They really really need a good salad/soup bar over this way. DH and I always talk about how if they had a Sweet Tomatoes here they would make a killing! BOO! Well, I think Quiznos it is, they have a french dip style sandwich and I can't seem to get that out of my mind so it will have to suffice!
Oh, and re: our convo on facebook (takes too long to type on the blackberry), I think they are off on my dates by a bit. I asked the ob this morning if the u/s looked like the same date and she just said "yep, you are right around 12w!". Ooookay! I guess I will know more when I go for the big u/s in about 8 weeks or so.
There used to be Healthy Habits right where On The Border is WAY back in the day (seriously - DH worked there in high school), and it was just like Sweet Tomatoes. I loved it - went all the time!! There's a Jason's Deli not far from you that has a decent salad bar and some yummy soups, maybe that would work?!?
I hope your dates get figured out - I am not super thrilled with my OB, and DH is NOT pleased with them at all. They said I was measuring 8 weeks at my 8 week appointment, but at the NT scan they bumped me up 8 days?!? Whatevs, I know this kiddo is coming in May

Yeah I guess Jason's is good, but it just isn't the same as Sweet Toms. It sounds kinda far away right now. I am being sooo picky! I have Kaiser and so far have been pretty pleased with them, I just met my ob for the first time this morning though. She was pretty cool, just wish they would give me more definitive answers like the dates, and she said the heart rate was in the 150s, which is fine, but 150-what?? hehe, whatever, I will take it.
When do you start your new job? We need to meet for lunch before you start, assuming you won't be in the area...
Have you tried Bono's Italian Grill? It's just up Indiana, and has the BEST steak sandwiches. I worked there in high school, and it is so, so good. Close, too! I think I'm going to make DH take me for chinese - it sounds so good right now.
I start January 4th, and for sure won't be in the area - I'll be on the road M-F, so we need to do lunch before then! I'm glad you liked your OB - I really like the peri I went to for my NT scan, but am not so thrilled with the regular OB. Kind of waiting until we get our house to switch if I need to. The NP we met with at 8 weeks really set DH off, which is not such a good thing, you know? She's the one who told me I really need to focus on losing weight during the pregnancy. Good thing I've been so sick that I've actually lost quite a bit!

We order in Bono's pizza here at the office sometimes, it's been a while though. I didn't realize they had other stuff besides pizza! I will have to check it out sometime. I do sometimes crave Chinese, but it is really only for wonton soup and crab cheese wontons, bad bad bad!
You guys are looking at houses up north right? I hope you find something soon, I know you must be going crazy! That sucks you aren't thrilled with your ob, I do feel lucky that so far both DH and I have been pleased with our peeps. Although the ob did kind of tick me off today, we were talking about stress levels and I told her about my dog having lymphoma and it being hard and she said "well, sometimes it's just time to go". Um, no. She is feeling fine right now, and there are plenty of other things to try. DH says she was just trying to be compassionate, but who tells a pg lady who just got done telling you how much she loves her doggy that maybe it is time??? ugh.
I thought I would get the weight lecture, but she didn't say anything about it. I can't believe they told you to lose weight, that is nuts. I think I gained a pound from my last visit at 7 weeks, which I thought would be more as I have not exactly been "good". She did tell me to walk 10 minutes a day, which is totally do-able...
Next week is kinda crazy, do you want to plan on like the Monday before Christmas, or is that not going to be a good time for you?
I've never had Bono's pizza, how funny! Just their sammies, and they are fantastic. And there is nothing wrong with wonton soup and crab cheese wontons, both are excellent (and if you eat with a friend, the calories totally don't count!)
I can't believe she said that about Sadie! So not ok - I went through the cancer battle with one of my pups and know how hard it is. Sadie will tell you when it's time to go, and until then you are absolutely doing the best by her to keep fighting! I've decided that overall, most people are just d-bags at heart

I have a doctor's appointment at 10 on the Monday before Xmas, but it should be just a blood draw, so I'll be back on our side of town by 11 at the very, very latest! We could totally do lunch that day, I've got nothing else going on and DH will be working!

I have to bring Sadie in tomorrow for an all day IV treatment, sooo hoping this helps her. At least right now she is still feeling good, eating and playing and being sweet. I am also going to bring her to a holistic vet to find out about supplements and what kind of diet is best for her. I know carbs feed the cancer and we haven't been very careful about that so trying to do whatever I can. It takes a toll though
Oh, and the Quizno's really isn't tasting spectacular. Dang it. Oh well.
