So on the 30th I wrote a post on here about being a little crampy and should I call my doctor or not. Right after I wrote it I decided I would take a hot shower to see if that would make me feel better. After that shower I had some bloody discharge, which freaked me out because I hadn't bled once the whole pregnancy. I called DH to come home from work and called my doc who said to go to the hospital to be monitored. In the car on the way to the hospital I started having contractions and by the time we got there (it only takes maybe 10 mins) I was having really hard ones. The doctor checked me and I was dilated 5cm. After that it was a whirlwind. They admitted me, took blood, gave me a steroid shot for the baby's lungs, and poked and prodded me with about a million needles. I was in labor all night and they were giving me medicine to try and hold off the labor so they could give me one more steroid shot. I was on lots of pain meds and was very out of it, but thank God for my DH and mother. They were so sweet and took care of me the whole time. I was in tons of pain, but by morning they thought they had it stopped until baby A broke her water and they had to do and emergency C section. So on December 1st at 9:15 and 9:16 my baby girls were born at 31 weeks 5 days. Thankfully, they are doing well. Taylor was 3lbs and 15.5 inches long and Ellie was 2lbs 11oz and 15 inches long. They are both in the special care nursery at the hospital and doing very well! Both are breathing on their own and eating through a feeding tube. The only problem we have had is that Ellie has a valve that isn't closed in her heart and is causing a murmur, but she is on meds for that and hopefully won't have to have surgery. I am home now and recovering from my surgery ( which for anyone that is nervous about a c/s it was 10x better than I thought it was going to be!). Good luck to all you other twin mommies
