Which classes will you attend - if any?

I was just looking through all the free classes offered at the hospital where I will be delivering, most look really interesting, but finding the time for any of them will be the challenge. I do think I will probably take one on breastfeeding - but not sure when to take it.

So - are you planning on attending any informational classes offered and if so, at what point in the pregnancy will you do it?

with my first child I went to a BFing class, it was very helpful. With this one, I won't be doing any.

I will take a few classes I am sure. I like to feel as prepared as possible plus I am so excited to be pregnant I think that taking the classes adds to the experience.

I took Breastfeeding which actually wasnt that helpful because it was only a one time class. We took Infant CPR which I would recommend. I also took a parenting type class and it was absolutely wonderful b/c it had everything to prepare for the birth, labor techniques, and touring the hospital...I waited until I was like 28 weeks to start the parenting as it was 7 weeks long.

Before DS we took a 6 week long childbirth class (techniques on laboring, pain management, what will happen during your labor). We got a free car seat for completing the class. We also took a infant and child CPR class.

I also took a childcare class which might have been helpful to some but it was basically how to put on a diaper.

I wish I could have found a breastfeeding class. That would have been nice to take.

Although none were free, I took breastfeeding, CPR and childbirth/newborn care. All in my third tri.

We did childbirth classes with my first and we won't do them again. I will probably take a BF'ing class since I didn't BF with my first. Also, our hospital offers basic baby classes that you go to about 12 hours after you deliver. It was informational and we will likely go again.
