Hello fellow bumpies! My husband and I aren't particularly creative people (we're enginerds) and keep trying to come up with a cute and clever way of telling our parents of our pregnancy during Christmas. Would you like to share how you did it or any ideas? Thanks ladies!

Discovered TWINS during the 6w u/s - what a shocker!

I was thinking of giving my MIL a framed pic of each kid - including the u/s in the last frame.
BUT my DH just wants to hand our highlighted Chinese Baby Charts that say "its a BOY!!!" (even though we have NO idea what it is yet and are only basing it on the oh-so-accurate Chinese cal.) ?:P?
Or you could find a 'worlds best Grandpa/ma' gift to wrap & give them.
a platter of cookies that spells out 'we're pregnant!!'?
With their first child, my BIL and his wife took a picture of themselves from a Christmas themed "ugly sweater party" and framed it with that mastercard saying. Something like:
Sweaters: $6 each, Party supplies: $55.... etc. and then said, Knowing there's 3 of us in this picture: Priceless.
We have our first u/s on the 23rd so we were going to get copies of the picture and then give it to them in envelopes OR video-tape the u/s on our new HD camera (Kodak's version of the Flip- love it!) and then show them, but we found out that the first u/s is internal (not getting THAT on camera, thankyouverymuch) and we couldn't wait to tell them because I was so sick.
We ended up telling them at Thanksgiving- my parents via a toast at dinner, and his parents we just said "Dana's pregnant" out of the blue... but we got it on video and his mom SCREAMED. Pretty cool
Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.
my husband gave a toast and said, "to a new grandchild" and my MIL said "yes, some day" and DH said, "no, today!" and I handed my wine glass to DH. it took her a second but then she got it!
It was very impromptu, but great!
Giving my parents this ornament:

and putting in the u/s pic. Not especially creative, but it gets the message across!
We're giving our parents calendars of DD.
On the July page, she'll be wearing her big sister to-be shirt and we'll highlight the due date.
Bloggin' It
Adorable!
I love this idea!!
We're also spilling the beans over the holiday...
Cafepress.com had some great things - for my parents we bought an "I love my grandpa and grandma" bib and wrapped it (it'll be the last present we share); for his side - we have a one year old nephew that we bought an adorable shirt for that has a big penguin holding a little penguins hand and it says "I'm the big cousin" - sooo cute!
Nervous about it though...?
