Yes I got mine because I am pregnant and I am a nurse in a peds hospital with lots of flu! My ob also highly recommended it.

im scared to get one. it hasnt been out long enough for them to test the side effects.

i mean i figure i cant even take over the counter medicine cuz it may harm the baby why would i want to expose him/her to this?

just my opinion.

i posted last week in a similar post... i'm not getting it at least till 2nd tri and maybe not at all. not enough studies for me correlating safety to fetal health a year down the road...so it makes me nervous. plus, i am not sure yet if my doctor will be getting the single dose (only one i would even consider, personally).

Yes, I got that and the seasonal. My reasoning based on my unclear view of risk assessment: If I can avoid getting a high fever (which is often associated with the flu - of any type), I will. Fevers have known risks to a developing fetus and I really wanted to avoid one if I can. I know that I can get fevers from other illnesses, but at least I feel as though I am lowering my risk a bit.

I don't know! I have a family friend who is a doctor who is urging me to not get one, but then again my niece just had it so i'm really nervous about it. I think I'm going to ask my OB when I see her on the 28th and just try to stay away from people AMAP until then.

Got mine last week. My sister works for the health department and said there has been more research done on this flu vaccine than any other in history and it is completely safe, my General Practiotioner and OB both said the same thing. I'm glad I got it. I'm so much less nervous now that I got it and don't have to worry about swine flu
