I think my water broke

Gah!  I can't tell.  I pee'd this morning and my underwear were a little damp like I got sweaty last night, so I took them off and just pulled up my pj pants.  I went to get Lucas and by the time I walked across the house, picked up Lucas, gave him milk and sat him down (3 min max) I was like, why is it wet between my legs?  So I went back to the bathroom...I just can't tell!  Last time the doctor broke it for me, so I don't really know what it is like.

I just ate pancakes and drank OJ, I'm laying on my side, and I'm waiting for DD to go nuts to see if it makes me leak more.  I'll call the OB at 8, but I sent DH to work.  I just know if I keep him here it will be a false call, and if he goes to work it might be real.  No contractions this morning....just messy undies.

    This is why I wish OBs let expectant moms keep the swabs used to determine aminotic fluid at home!

    I went through the same thing this morning. WTF I have no idea what happenend but between my legs was damp.

    My water broke with my DD and I went to L&D where they swabbed me.  I really wanted to ask then if I could have some of the swabs for future use :-)  I need to befriend a nurse in L&D to steal me some!!

    I was told that if I think my water broke: Put on a pad and walk around for an hour. If the pad is soaked, your water probably broke.

    This!  At childbirth class they said you can get some of the paper over the counter at the pharmacy.  It's called nitrozen paper.  I'm going to look for some this weekend b/c I freak out about it all the time too!

    yeah I agree, they have pregnancy/ovulation/ who knows what else home tests, they really should make one for testing for amniotic fluid and save all of us a bunch of trouble!!
