why can't they just listen when I tell them things relating to my IF/IVF issues over the phone? why do they feel like they have to add to the "topic" but telling me countless stories about the nausea and other hardships they had when they were PG and how I will have a whole new set of problems with a crying baby at night.
UGH!
vent over, thanks for listening.
Re: vent about my Mom & MIL
They probably just don't know what else to say because they have never been in your shoes before. That doesn't make it any less annoying or heartbreaking for you. I'm sorry. I'd probably tell them to stop it and that it only makes dealing with IF even worse.
This one reason why I have refrained from going into details about our process with them. They know where are going the IUI route but don't know the specifics (like when I'm taking shots, the date of our IUI, etc...).
One reason for this is because I want they know we are having difficulty, and I want to be able to surprise them one day by finally saying we have a BFP, but the other is because they will chime in with their stories of what they did, how they felt, etc...
