Okay, tomorrow my son needs to bring something that starts with long "I" sound. Like, iron. I wish we had a play iron, but we don't. It cannot be a food item. Anyone have any ideas? And no, he's not bringing the Ipod.
OMG! Yay! We actually have a toy ice cream scoop and ice cream bowl from his pretend kitchen stuff that he hasn't looked at in about two years but I don't care! He's bringing it! His ivy league future (see how I worked the long "i" sound in there) is hanging in the balance here. :-)
I would so go with iPod. Or iPhone. or iTunes playlist. Flat iron? He could bring something that starts with a totally different letter and you cold tell him it's irony?
Re: Am really starting to hate share day. HELP!
Ink pen
Ice pack
Ice Cream Scoop
-Icicle (if you have an icicle ornament)

icky goo? (you could make goo - cornstarch and water in a plastic bag)
ink splotch pictures?
Ice cube tray
Ice cream scoop (or one of those play food ice cream toys where you stack up all the scoops)
Island (not sure exactly how you'd show this in a toy though)
Irish (DD has a Little People St. Patrick's Day set)
Ivy
