hello from my new home in L&D...

Here is my update for today....sorry to my Feb Mommies for not posting the daily check-in!

Well, my obvious update is that we failed our NST/AFI today, so L&D is where I shall stay til I deliver Marlowe. She was "unimpressive" on her NST and my fluid has dropped 4cm since Monday. It was 12cm on Monday and down to 8cm today, which is also reflective of my placenta functioning.

They basically told me that right now, they fear me coming in on Friday to my next NST "with a dead baby", so it was in everyone's best interest to keep me. However, after I sobbed in front of the dr, they allowed me to leave, pack my bags, go say goodbye to my daughter at her daycare and then return for the duration. So, I just finally got settled in about an hour ago and got my internet all set up and ready.

They brought an egg crate to put on my god awful uncomfy bed and hopefully that will help me sleep tonight, but with 24/7 monitoring, that is not likely.

The hope is to get me to my next growth scan on 12/15, but they just aren't sure I will make that far. They do not believe we could make it at home til then.

I can't believe they said it to you like that. My doc used the "d" word Tuesday at my 38 wk appt and I cried for an hour! We're not idiots, I wish they'd use medical terminology for things like that. It makes it a bit easier for me to deal with.
