A funny thing happened today...

DH and I finally completely agreed on a name for a boy.  We didn't have any problems choosing girl names, but the boy ones didn't come as easily.

I suggested Atticus.  I really love interesting, but not youneek names. He absolutely loved it!

Then we realized.. the baby's name would be Atticus Fitch.. Anyone read "To Kill a Mockingbird"? ;)

 

Anything like this happen to anyone else?

    I just literally laughed out loud!! Thanks for that. Too bad.. though I'd never use it, I actually kind of like Atticus.

    Well I really liked the name Austin and asked DH about it. He was like "ummm our last name is Power" - lol. Yeah that would have been a bad idea :)

     haha! when I saw your username as the last reply on this topic, the first thing I thought of was "wow. i bet she chose Austin..."

    I  did liked the name Jackson and Russell for a mn. Jack Russell !! 
    My girlfriends last name is Topper, and she wanted to name her son Landon... Landon Topper.. Land On Top HER, I  had to tell her no! lol.

    Atticus is on our list as well. I'm not sure I'd use it, though, with the last name Fitch. Awfully close to the book... people may think you did that intentionally. But if you're okay with that, and you love the name, go with it!

    Oh yes - all the time.  I liked the name Hazel for a girl and Holden for a boy.

     Last name is Snow....

    Hazel Snow  (is that hazel colored snow falling?)

    Holden Snow (holding snow)

    Yeah.  Tough last name for sure.

    LOL.  That happened to a pregnant girl I know.  Her husband suggested Charlie and she goes, "Ummm....Charlie Brown? I don't think so"

    I love the name Atticus! There are lots of names we can't use because our last name (Singh) would turn them into verbs...Dan, Lance, Mae, Faye, etc.

    I like that name.  And To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite book.  :)   I think its cute.  :)  My husband and I are naming our baby boy Kian....then I realized thats the name of the guy from Queer Eye for a Straight Guy...lol  But I like it, so it doesn't matter.
