rough night - let em sleep, or wake up?

after a very rough night... one girl was up from about 2:45 till 5:30.  she would fall asleep in arms, but would NOT stay asleep the minute you put her in the crib.  the other girl had an "awake episode" for about 1 1/2hrs at some point... can't even remember what time.

it is now 7am.  do i let them sleep, or wake them now, so they'll be on a normal schedule?

  • Personally I would try to keep the normal schedule with more flexibility for their naps.  It will probably lead to a fussy day for you but it is better than the babies getting their days and nights mixed up.

    GOOD LUCK!!

  • I probably would also wake them up now or within the next hour to stay as close as possible to schedule.  It'll probably be a rough day too...boo
  • I have to disagree!! Let them sleep! You help them learn their days and nights by changing the environment. Night time should be dark and quiet at all times. Day time (even during naps) should be brighter and maybe even in a different room until they get it right.

Never wake a sleeping baby. The more rested they are the happier they are and the better they sleep at night!
