hi girls! i was looking for all this stuff when i first had my daughter and found that there was no moms.org club in naperville. i almost started one, but you have to pay dues and stuff so i skipped it.
i wound up having good luck going to MyGym in Aurora, it is right by Toys R Us around the outskirts of the Fox Valley Mall. (if you join, can you tell them i referred you? i dont know if i get anything but it's worth a shot! pm me for my real life name!) they have classes for your baby from 6 weeks old, we started around 3 mos, still go and LOVE it, the teachers rock and i have made good friends from there, finally! worth every penny.
also the local libraries (naperville and aurora) have FREE storytimes, so check their schedules.
and you can go to Cradle Talk, run thru Edwards Hospital but i didnt deliver there and they dont care, it's free to attend with your baby, and helped a lot to have an open discussion with a nurse and other moms - https://www.edward.org/11524.cfm
I am in a mom's group in Naperville that I found through meetup.com. It is called West of the Windy City Mama's. It is awesome & the ladies are super nice.
I live in Oswego, and would LOVE to meet other moms! I'm expecting my first in January!
I'm not due until June, so our babies would be about 5 months apart, but I would still be interested in talking more. My neighbor just had her daughter in late October. I'm on the Oswego/ Aurora border. PM if you want to talk more about this. Thanks!
Ooh, me too! I live in BFE and travel to the aurora/naperville area just to get my socializing taken care of. Let me know if you start something!! I'm due in March and already have a 4 year old that is in preschool three afternoons a week.
I have had lots of luck finding like minded mommies to chat with by joining the bible study groups at my church in Naperville... if you have no luck starting something new, check something like that out! At Good Shepherd on 75th (Naperville) they offer child care at a minimal cost to give you a weekly chat session, usually with snacks and the bible study has, as I've seen, always something really relevant to being a wife and mother in today's world. Usually meets Thursday mornings I think for about an hour and half. May not be a "play group" per se, but I have made some great new friends from participating and made my own play dates!
I am in Aurora and would be interested in meeting up with a group if you decide to do so. Feel free to PM me if you want to start something up! I haven't had luck finding anything yet.

Re: Mom's group in Aurora?
Hmmm, if there are more responses, maybe we can start one!
Also check out meetup.com for some local Mom's groups
