So I've been in early labor since 8am yesterday, and so far walking hasn't helped much. Any advice on how to get things moving??? Contractions currently are anywhere from 5min-90sec apart, lasting about 30sec. and are pretty whimpy.

Re: Stuck in Early Labor...Advice?
(Sorry, no clue on real progression tips other than walking and bouncing on one of those exercise balls...GL!!!!)
Try standing around a lot. lol
I dunno, just something I thought of today while I was standing in the kitchen baking cookies....it occurred to me that I'd seen on one of my "Your Bump this week" emails that women that did a lot of walking/standing on their feet are more likely to go into PTL...so it would make sense that being on your feet a lot would send you past early labor, right?
Of course, I think they meant like 8-10 hours a day or something...
I'm not actually suggesting this (you do what you'd like) but my mom actually jumped rope when she was two weeks overdue with my brother and sister (yeah...twins). She went into full-blown labour that night.
I guess drastic times...
Get into positions like squatting, sitting backwards on a chair, bouncing on a ball. Laying down, reclining while sitting, etc. will slow things down.
Have you tried nipple stimulation? Use your breast pump or do it manually.
from my childbirth class:
-nipple stim.
-take a shower (it'll help relax your muscles)
-yoga ball
-massage the skin on your hands that's between your thumb and your pointer finger (like that little webbing spot)
-castor oil. i don't have a recipe/amount for this one, but castor oil brings on diarhea, which brings on labor. so maybe google this one?
1. Walk!
Good luck!!!2. Nipple stimulation. Heck if you have a pump handy I'd even give that a try.
3. Acupressure. Suck a lolipop or your thumb. Something that you can suck while putting pressure on the rough of your mouth. The area around the ankles are a good spot too.
4. Do whatever necessary to let go of any fears.
