Re: fingers and arm going numb?

  • My OB said it's normal because of the extra fluids we have and they are pressing against the nerves.  It's always my right hand and especially my ring finger.  My OB said it will go away after delivery.  Another fun/weird symptom to add.

  • This was happening to me a few months back so I went to the chiro and had a pinched nerve.  He was able to give me relief with 2 treatments.
  • pregnancy induced carpeltunnel perhaps?  I've known people who had this & had to use a brace on their wrists, but it did go away after delivery.

  • My doctor says it's carpal tunnel, and to wear my wrist braces (which I need to find) when I sleep.

  • It is normal. I wake up with numb arms and hands every morning. It's annoying, but at least it doesn't hurt!

  • And this is why I'm not working right now, massage therapist and numb fingers/arms don't go together.

I got my wrist supports for night-time at Target, they go to my forearm and are really helpful, just don't put them on too tightly!
