NBR: DH Vent

in 2nd Trimester

I'm just venting here.

DH lost his ATM card back in March. He works across the street from the bank and it would take 5 minutes to pop in and order a new one but he always borrows mine. Today, he wanted to borrow mine but I couldn't find it so I gave him the last $20 in my wallet to buy breakfast on the way to work.  I got halfway to work and my gas light came on and gas stations don't take checks!! What am I going to do? I could smack him!!  Angry

Is anyone else's DH lazy and expects you to always pick up the slack for him?

    I am pretty sure all DH's do stuff like this from time to time :)

    My DH is super busy with work full time and school full time - and he's in the National Guard - so I try to work with his busy schedule and do more "house stuff" at this point in our lives. But, if I ever feel like he is expecting way too much of me and I know he has time, I just won't complete those tasks (like the ATM thing above) and he gets the point.

    Some grocery stores have gas stations attached to them. They should take checks. Try one of those. (Here I can think if Meijer specifically.) Or you could go in somewhere, and write a check with cash back.

    I would be mad too btw.

    Thanks guys. I just needed to vent. Thanks for the idea for how to get gas!! We don't have that grocery store but we do have some with gas stations. I'm hoping that idea works! Thanks so much!! Smile You may have saved DH's life!! LOL

    Hey if you're going out to pick up his slack, he asked me to ask you if you could pick up some of those treats he likes   Wink

    Hehe... just confirming... yes we men can be lazy from time to time.  But we do it honestly and with good will... we're clueless that you take it personally because if our male buddies are lazy around us we don't take it personally.
