Pushed up my OB appt......(long-ish)

Well I found an OB, he came recommended by several friends and so I called and made an appt. for December 21.

Since last Thursday evening I've been having these weird pains, sensations, whatever you want to call them. It was almost like a small sharp pain (think meds injection) on one side of my lower abdomen and then it would radiate off to the other side. Sometimes it would linger in the middle for little bit. Sometimes they wander off to other areas below my belly button. It was more annoying than anything. I just tried to attribute it to stretching, growing pains etc. Well I've had them on and off since then, sometimes only at night. I figured maybe it was because I wasn't using the bathroom as frequently with these new PNV's. Sunday they didn't come at all. Yesterday I had them pretty much all day. I was able to take a nap for a few hours and that was fine but it's like the minute I start sitting either at my desk or on the couch they start up again and I can't get rid of them.

So of course, by the end of the night, I was in tears. Not because I was in pain but because I was worried. Crying comes very easily these days.

So DH told me to call the OB this morning and try to get in sooner than 12.21. So I did and they're seeing me on Friday morning. I'm just praying that this is just me overreacting.

On a good note, I was able to sleep till 10:15 this morning thanks to a new pillow I sleep with between my legs. The last few nights I haven't slept well because I toss and turn all night.

Anyway, Friday can't get here fast enough.

    glad you got it moved up... hopefully it'll give you some great reassurance!

    Glad you got an earlier appt for your ease of mind and to make sure your LO is OK! I think the pain your experiencing sounds pretty normal (I had a similar type of pain early on) but it's always good to get it checked out if your nervous and/or worried. Be sure to get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids, and take it easy until you see the doc!

    I never slept well in the beginning because I was so anxious/nervous. I totally know where you are coming from. I am glad you got your apt moved up, and you will get some reassurance soon!
