DH used to always say he'd want a boy first at least, but lately he's been spending a lot of time with his friend and his family. They have a 2 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. He was just talking to me non-stop about the little girl and how cute her little voice is and how funny she is when she's playing. When I asked him if what he thought of the little boy he said he didn't really seem to connect with him. Then he went on to tell me he wouldn't mind if we ended up having only girls and he'd actually prefer it that way now! That floored me!!! He's such a manly-man I figured he'd want only boys or at least one boy.
Timm wanted a girl. But I think he would have been pretty excited to have a boy so he could do all those "boy" things....fishing, camping, four wheeling, hockey etc. He would have a better chance at a boy actually liking these things. But he has decided that our little girl will do all of these things with him anyway. We already have a purple fishing pole, a hockey stick, and her first four wheeler picked out. And she already has a street bike so she can learn to ride a dirt bike when she is older. So I think he is getting the best of both worlds. A girl to dress up all cutesy but also can do those typical boy things.
DH didn't care either way - he has ideas for both... he can't wait to have a little girl, but at the same time he really wanted to share so much with a little boy (esp his hockey).
I have a hard time connecting with boys, so I don't know how I'm going to be if I ever actually have one... BUT at the same time, Peter was a really bad heartbreaker and I was a complete brat as a kid, so I'm TOTALLY fearing the fact I'm having a girl at the same time. I feel like it's so going to be payback!
DH said he'd be happy with all girls and thinks boys might be too much of a handful. So, we'll see!
DH and I are so chill though, I'd be a little surprised if we ended up with a rough and tough boy type. Altho I want to give any child of mine access to a variety of ways to express themselves (sports, dance, arts, music) If we have a girl jock and a boy ballet dancer I'd still be just as happy!

These are pretty much our thoughts too. I'd really like at least 1 girl though to be able to do girlie things with (cough cough American Girl dolls cough cough)
DH has always said he wants a girl. This does not really surprise me as Jason is not into any sports or typical "guy" stuff. Unless you count video games, but that didn't used to be a typical guy thing. I find it adorable that he wants a little girl to dress up, but he also wants her to be a gamer.
Honestly, I'm not sure I could handle a little Jason. As a child Jason could never sit still. What am I saying, he still doesn't sit still!

I still have my American Girl Doll I want to give it to Sophia when she's big enough.
DH is very adament about wanting 2 twin girls. Obviously, in the end we want healthy kids, but if he got to choose, it would be all girls. I think he's afraid if we have a boy, it will be too much like him and his dad and he's not very proud of himself or his dad.
Before we got pregnant, we both wanted a boy. I'm not at all girly and I'm terrified that I'll have a girly-girl and won't know what to do with her (I guess that's what aunts are for -- my sister would love it!) But now that I'm pregnant, DH says he would kind of like to have a girl, and he thinks this one is a girl. So I guess he'll be happy with either.

My mom has like 3 or 4 gigantic plastic totes with all of my doll stuff in them, just hanging on to them until I have room for them = ) I definitely plan on giving it to any future daughter(s)
DH really wanted "daddy's little girl", and he was a little bit sad and disappointed when he found out we were having a boy, but from the moment he held his son in his hand I think all those feelings went away. I am scared that I will never be able to give him a daughter, and I really want a girl to dress her up and do all those girly things that I love so much!

You had one miracle, don't give up hope that you can't have another!

Haha- OMG, that's my son! But it's expected, he's two and a half.
He is just so much more rambunctious than his sister was at that age- but, he's also very intelligent and is learning letter sounds and to recognize words one and two letter words (and STOP) and sorts out patterns.
Brett has always said he wants a boy because he "doesn't know what to do with a girl". (There haven't been any girls his his family besides those the men married, in many, many years.) He used to go as far as to say, "My family only makes boys". (Ugh!)
BUT, my family has tons of girls and the last time my niece visited, he fell absolutely in love with her. Now I think he kind of wants a girl but is afraid he'll lose his "man card" if he admits it.

So, yes, I was very surprised!
DH wants a boy. This is not surprising whatsoever.

This pretty much. But I want 3 kids and Dh says if the next one is a girl (which I want) then we are done
