do i need one or two? how long are they in them? thanks,

Re: bumbos

  • I've heard a lot of babies don't like them. I got one to try it out. I figured if both babies like them, we can get a 2nd.

  • We have 2, you could probably get away with one. For us, the kids sit in them with the trays and play with toys. We started using them around 3 months and they are still in them so I'm not sure how much longer we will be using them. I'm sure once they start sitting up on their own we won't use them. Search Craigslist for them, I found one there so I didn't have to pay full price for them.

  • we had 2 bebe pods (which are the same as bumbos).  they used them all the time from about 4 months to 10 months.  i would recommend buying them off of craigslist or something though.  they are just soft plastic so they stay in good condition and are easy to clean!
  • we have and use 2 all the time... our babies like them- and we love using them to feed them in right now b/c they can't sit well enough to use the high chairs.... and i would never feed solids in bouncy seats.

you can get them used - so much cheaper.

  • I got two but I bought them used on craigslist so they weren't very expensive.  I only have one tray though.  I figure if they like them and I use the tray a lot I'll buy another one.
  • We had 2 ... babies hated them and DD is to large for hers.

We have the bebe pod ... they like this better than the bumbo

But their FAVORITE seat ... is the Summer 3 in 1 ...

  • For DS, I was given a bumbo for a shower present and a bebepod from my sister. He wasn't in the bumbo that long. His little legs were way too chubby. He loved the bebepod though. I agree with pp's. Get one off craigslist or a MpM's sale. They aren't used that long and $40 a pop is expensive!
