3rd Trimester

Has anyone had trouble...

with forgetting the PNV like everything else...there will be days i will take my PNV and other days i completely forget...am i hurting the LO?

Re: Has anyone had trouble...

  • I take mine every few days...no joke! My pnv is a huge nasty smelling and nasty tasting horse pill that I hate! I have always had a hard time taking pills on a regular basis...Thus, I never liked BCP and got the mirena IUD instead.

  • I haven't taken mine in well over a month.  It makes me sick and I end up throwing it up.  My doctor told me to just take folic acid and I'd be fine.

  • I had issues until I started taking them in the overnight when I woke up for my first pee of the night. Now that I don't pee at night I forget to take even though I up all night with DS.

  • Strangely, I've been better about taking my PNV in the third tri than in previous trimesters. ?
  • I remember to take mine if they're on the counter. If I ahve them in the medicine cabinet it's totally out of sight out of mind. Speaking of which I should go take one didn't do that today. Thanks for the reminder :)

  • No, you're not hurting your baby by forgetting to take your PNV.
  • I agree...not hurting your baby. I kept forgetting so I put them in my bedside table and somehow tying it to something I do everyday (going to bed) helps me remember.
  • I used to forget more a few months ago, but now i put it into my bedtime routine along with putting lotion on my belly. I've switched from the gross tasting horse pill to 2 slightly smaller pills, one regular pnv and the other a dha pill. Ironically, they're both "one-a days," 'cept I'm taking 2!

  • I switched to flintstones (don't judge lol) and I only remember because the H loves them and he gets me mine when he goes for his fix.
  • Definitely not! Your LO will get his or her vitamins and the things they need from you. I used my last pill yesterday and I'm having my c/s next week. I can't see spending another 16 dollars to take 8 pills, so I'll probably just skip this week. I've pretty much taken them everyday since I got pregnant.
