Just Found Out

Hi Girls, I just found out today after being late 4 days that I am prego and couldnt be happier. I am planning on sharing the news with my DH tonight, but had a question about the Dr. My DH and I just moved to Placentia and I am looking for a Dr in the area that delivers out of St. Jude. My question is should I call whichever Dr. I find now or make an appointment for my original Dr. by my old house and then transfer???

    Congrats!  If it was me I'd just make an appt. with my new dr. especially since most OB's don't even see you until you're so far along.  You can check out St. Jude's website for a list of OB's and then cross reference them with your insurance - that's what I did.  My dr. was awesome - Dr. Dieterich.  He's right next to Placentia Linda Hospital and delivers out of St. Jude.  He's a one man show though so not a big office with multiple dr.'s if that's what you're looking for.  Also, St. Jude was SO great.  Their new facility is awesome!  Congrats again!

    Congrats!! I delivered out of SJ and had a good experience with the hospital. I saw Dr. Robyn Lawton, but she may not be taking new patients. I really liked her and her staff. Its just her and her nurse, she delivers all her own babies. GL with your search, I remember it and its tough :)

    congratulations!

    I see Dr. Vivian Lin at the Women's Medical Center across the street from St. Jude. I absolutely love her. They are a practice of 9 OB's so whoever is on call when you go into labor delivers you- something to keep in mind if you choose them.  I've seen several of the OB's in the practice and really liked them.

    Brian Gray is in my practice. I have seen him once (in L&D with my gallstones) and I really liked him.
