1st Trimester

Hey 2nd time mammas ...

How many of you had a strong feeling of what your baby's sex was before you found out, and were right about it??? I've had a very strong feeling that I'm having a boy and when people see how big the baby is on the U/S pic and how much I eat, they all say they think it must be a boy too. (Although everyone was calling baby a girl for the longest time before that.) I'm not biased either way, I just know it's a boy.

Re: Hey 2nd time mammas ...

  • w/ my 2nd i knew it was a girl before even my bfp!  i even said to a friend one time that if it turned out to be a boy it would probably be gay b/c i got some strong feminine vibes :)  i wore all pink to my u/s at 20w and TADA, it's was a girl!  i have NO clue this time...  it's twins, one of each, for all i know!

  • I was the same way.  I just knew it was a boy!  I just had a strong feeling.  I was convinced and I even started looking at boy stuff.  When the ultrasound tech said, "can you tell what the sex is..", I looked at the screen and was shocked to see two legs wide open and no boy parts. Surprise I was very surprised, but excited at the same time!  Now this time around I don't have a clue.
  • I had absolutely no idea.  I Kept changing my mind up until our 20 week ultrasound.
  • I was like that for my first pregnancy... I just KNEW DD would be a girl. As for this one, I'm not so sure.

  • When I saw my bfp with my first pregnancy I just knew he was a boy. DH immediately thought he was a boy, our first born is a boy. Both of us think this one is a girl, we would be surprised if this is a boy. We will see if we are right again.
  • With DD, both DH and I knew she was a girl, before either of us said it aloud to the other. With this one, we haven't talked about it - I think we're holding off on getting too excited and into the details until we know he/she will be sticking around...but we have had a lot of random signs and things that it's twins, so I'll keep the board posted on that! :) First appt is next week.

  • This sounds really strange, but early in both pregnancies ( my son, and the baby I lost at 17 weeks)  I dreamed that I saw each baby, and knew when I woke up what I was having.  I felt strongly each time what the sex was.  With this baby, I'm not sure.  I have a feeling it's a girl, but I don't have the strong intuition like I did the other two times.

  • I was convinced as soon as I got a BFP with my DD that she was a girl.  I am getting serious boy vibes with this one so it won't suprise me when I'm right again.  LOL  I know exactly how you feel.

  • I knew with my first that it was a girl. I was definitely right! I have no freakin' idea what this one is. I change my mind daily.

  • Haha well at least I'm not the only one! I even bought a little baby boy's policeman halloween costume on sale already. (DH is a police officer.) I've been trying to stick to only buying diapers and toys other than that though. I can't wait to see if I'm right!
  • I really thought it was a girl with DD and it was!

  • I could have sworn DD was going to be a boy.  However, in the two dreams I had, I dreamt I had a girl (though, in one, the baby was African-American, which was not going to happen for two pasty Northern-European-Americans).
  • I knew my first was a boy.  We had a name picked, patterns picked, everything.  Boy were we shocked to see three white lines!  She is now the light of our life!

I have no clue this time.  I want a boy to have one of each, but I also know she would LOVE a sister.

Oh my gosh how exciting!! Definately let us know!

  • I thought girl with DS and I was way wrong.  I am not even speculating with this one because I know I will be wrong.  DH says he thinks girl and was right with DS #1.
