Since I've found out we are having twins, I've had a lot of positive reactions and a lot of not so positive reactions.
I had a guy yesterday say to me "Ugh, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy." umm..ok?! Why would someone say that to me?
Has anyone said anything like this to any of you? I was just really shocked someone would say that.

Re: Reactions to twins..
Once the checker at Target asked if I knew what I was having, and when I told her two boys she said "Wow, twins... That sucks."
Nice....
People just don't think
I've gotten all kinds of crazy comments from "better you than me." to when we found out it was girls "good luck." "Wow, that's two prom dresses to buy and two weddings to pay for." People are idiots and say the craziest sh**! I am usually baffled!! DH and I often share the comments we get and people can be really strange. Then you get those complete strangers who ask, "are they natural?" or "did you use fertility treatments?" Um.....kinda of a personal question. I just wrote an e-mail earlier about people's comments about my scheduled c-section and I know MoM's say that even after they are born you get crazy comments like, "Which one is older?" um...really? Apparently this is just the beginning!!!
yeah...someone told me "better you than me!"
People are just idiots!
eh, some guy at the hospital said (i was bringing all three boys to have blood taken) "better you than me". i was thinking, "yep."
there's always going to be some rude person. just ignore it.
How to tell my boys apart
The different types of twins and triplets
Jack, Sydney and Carynne, Annaleigh, JW, Eden...forever in our hearts.
My blog * We made the national news!
I get two distinct reactions "wow, you are so blessed - a boy & a girl at the same time" or
" wow, I would never want twins!!"
There are of course many variations on the level of rudeness, but most people seem really excited and in awe of twins.
Amongst some people I detect a level of jealousy. I had a family friend come right out and say she wished her singleton IVF baby had been twins.....I mean come on - be thankful you have a healthy baby at all!!!! I HATE the are they "natural or did you do IVF?" question - it is sooo freaking rude!!!
Also, I get the " of my gosh you are sooo small, are you really having twins" every single day. It was upsetting at first, but now that I know they are big and growing health pace I just roll with it!" Better than hearing, "wow, you are huge!"
true
Yep. All the time.
My favorite was a coworker who said , "I'd shoot myself."
Thanks for that.
I was thinking about posting something like this. DH's brother said, "have fun with that." We will, f*&ker. LOL.
My BF aslo said, yeah it's going to suck until they are older. I wanted to say, you are going to suck until your older.
We haven't told that many people, but I'm not looking forward to more negative comments.
