Any news or updates? I can't believe we don't have any more babies until February!!

Re: PG-Mom-TTC Check-In

  • Hi girlies!! Not too much report. I am going to the Dr tomorrow to check my placenta previa and to do measurements on the baby and such!! So excited to get to see her again!! I am feeling great!! What a difference from the first 16 weeks lol!!

The Dr says I have still only gained about 4 pounds, but my belly looks like it has doubled in size since the last time I have gone, so we will see.

The other night, Vic and I could actually saw my stomach jump when she kicked, it was so neat!! I love to feel her and "see" her grow!!
  • Loading the player...
  • We have decided to name her Karter Rose and we will call her KiKi for short.

Esther, can you change her name to her nickname, KiKi.  I am being a little bit paranoid about having her name all over the internet.  I will refer to her as KiKi from here on out as well.  Thanks lady!

Other than that, we hit 24 weeks tomorrow, which is the third trimester according to the belly book, but since I am not ready to consider myself part of the third tri club just yet, I will wait until 27 weeks to put myself there.  HA!

  • Nathan is officially one month old as of yesterday!  I can't believe he is growing so fast!!  We took him to the doctor and he is now at 3.3 Kg's (7lbs 4 oz) two pounds more than at birth, so my little guy is growing very well.

My mom came in on Sunday and she is getting to enjoy her grandson. We took him out to the Christmas market and we had a great time, later this week we are going to take him to see Santa.

    Is Krissie due before Carollyn?

Haha isn't my math amazing!  I didnt have a date for Krissie for a while, so I guess I never fixed it when I got a date!

  • Mel- I love that Vic got to see her kick!

Ash- love her name.  What a cute nickname!

Not much going on with me yet.  I'm nauceus on and off all day, but still not throwing up.  I'm also starting to get aversions to food.  I used to eat fish or chicken, veggies and brown rice for dinner 5 nights and week and now I just can't stomach it.  I made "regular" dinner for Bri last night and made soup for myself.  I have my second appointment on Monday and I'm really hoping that I can see or hear a heartbeat to set my mind at a little ease.  If the doctor doesn't do an ultrasound or schedule one, I swear I'll start crying.  My worrying is getting out of control!

  • My little man is seven months today!  It has flown by,  Im excited for him because it is his first christmas.  But Im especially happy for Maddie because this is the first christmas she is really understanding it all and she is very excited!  It makes it so much more special for me too!
  • Alexa had her 4 month check up last week. She is 12lbs 8oz - 29th percentile and 24.5 inches - 71st percentile. She is very close to sitting, she sits with little support. Rolling ALL over, everything goes in the mouth, and very good hand control. She's growing up way to fast.

  • Sophia rolled over for the first time last week! She's been trying for a while now but would always get her arm stuck under and couldn't get over. She finally figured it out :)

You can tell she's starting to figure out who her mommy & daddy are. If we take her anywhere she loves to just coo and smile at most strangers.

We are going through this terrible thing where Sophia absolutely HATES to be in her carseat and hates riding in the car even more. She screams her head off the entire car ride. She usually calms down once we get her out of the car, but buckling her up in the seat has become a not so pleasant experience.

I think we are technically due a few days apart but she will have her baby earlier because it is a planned C-sec.

    OMG it's SOOO soon!

  • Thanks for changing her name Ester!
  • Like I said below, I'm on CD33 and no signs of AF besides some light cramping I've had for five days now.  I have no clue what's going on but the test I took Sat. and the test I took today were both BFNs!
  • Oh and Esther, don't forget Dani!  She's due in July as well, but I don't know what day.

And I think it was Hanneke said she was going to be Team Green?  I can't remember but I know someone recently mentioned this...

Yes, Hanneke is Team Green and Dani's EDD is 7/22.

We went though that about a month ago too, so it must just be the age. Now I ride in back with her when I can.

  • Angelica is now 3 months and is all smiles.  She smiles at us, my family and strangers.  She learned how to suck her thumb and started giggling out out.  She also hates to be put in the car seat and get buckled up because she can suck her fingers like she likes, but once the car starts moving, we're okay.
  • Major update! I've been feeling the baby since 14weeks5days. Only at that time it were just 2 little flutters at 8am, while riding the train to work. After that a whole week of nothing. But ever since I hit the 16 week mark last week, I've been feeling the baby more regularly and today it sometimes really felt like a very faint thump instead of "bubbles".

I have my 3rd appointment at (almost) 19 weeks, so 2 weeks from today. I'll be so happy to hear the heartbeat again, I'm still up for the 2nd flu shot this Thursday. I'm less panicky than last time, especially since I've been feeling the baby move.

We're having the 20wk u/s close to my 22nd week, on Jan. 5th. And even though DH and I are finding out the sex, we're still TEAM GREEN since we're keeping it a secret for the rest of the world....boy that's going to be hard!

Other than that, nothing new, except we're way ahead of the game shopping wise. We ordered the nursery furniture, and just got a playpen last Saturday for Sinterklaas (the Dutch version of Santa Clause) :-) (pics are up on FB).

Well, wishing you all healthy pregnancy vibes and loads of baby dust to those TTC!!

  • Hi girls!  Whew, what a week and it's only Tuesday!

Things are good here.  I hit the halfway point as of yesterday!  OMG!  I am starting to freak out just a little bit...I think these last 20 weeks or so are going to fly by.  We set up our crib over the weekend and are going to pick up our dresser/hutch tonight.  I am so excited.  Our bedding should be in tomorrow and then I am going to paint over the weekend.  Things are coming together! Big Smile

  • Any news or updates?

We saw the heartbeat on Friday, which was great, but besides that I don't have much to report. Still looking for a job and trying to stay positive!

  • I had a really good night.  I didn't get sick after dinner and I slept mostly the whole night and I didn't have any hunger pains during the night either. Hopefully this trend will continue tonight!

Baby J (who I was watching until recently) went through the same thing around 3 months. There was a lot of paci re-insertion at stop lights!

  • Not a lot to report now.  I'm 10 weeks today.  M/S is still going strong.  Hopefully it will go away SOON! Sad
  • Well hopefully this will be our lucky month! I turn 32 next week so I'm hoping for a baby as my present! I'm excited for Christmas. This'll be my son's third so this year he understands Santa now Big Smile. We are doing a lot of festive things like looking at lights, decorating cookies, etc. So fun!

  • Hi gals!!! I'm a chronic caller-outer and I'm home sick again!  I'm going to spare you the gory details...

Nothing much going on here except that my belly is finally starting to look like something and I have my GD test tomorrow morning.

Glad to hear all is well with you all!

  • We went to the doctor today and Anderson is growing great!  He is now 8 pounds 7 oz. and 20.5 inches long.  He got his hep b shot too.

He is sleeping about 3 hours at a time and eating about 3 oz.  I swear he could eat more, but he will spit most of it up.

The hospital called us and signed us up for a program that is offered to all NICU babies.  A nurse will be calling us once a week to answer questions, and we can be part of a parent group for NICU babies, which I'm excited about.

AND, Rich's vacation starts on Friday, and I am so excited to have him home with us!

  • Nothing exciting for me to report.  But, I LOVE reading this post to see what everyone else is up to.

I'm in between AF and O, so, I'm at a really boring point in my cycle.  Nothing to obsess over, not even time for "sex with purpose" yet.

  • We had our 1st ultrasound last Tuesday.  We got to see the baby's heartbeat.  140 bpm.  It was amazing!  Feeling pretty good.  A little nauseous, but nothing to really complain about.  I'm normally a REALLY healthy eater, but right now, the thought of chicken, vegetables, fruit, or anything remotely healthy, completely turns me off.  I just can't seem to gag it down.  I'm hoping this changes soon, because it's really making me feel guilty!
  • Can I get added to the list?  I am a mom to a 4 year old boy, Rowen and I am pregnant and due August 10, 2010.  Thanks!

  • I have nothing new to report.  I feel that the Zofran is starting to wear off, but at least I am making it through the school day now.  To the other teachers,  how are you handling this "morning sickness" at school?

In addition, I think that it was easier being pregnant at 19 then it is now.  I can't believe how exhausted I am.
