Question, is this normal?

in 1st Trimester

I have been experiencing sharp pains just below and left of my belly button. Is anyone else experience this, too? Is it normal? 

I went in for my blood test today and asked the nurse about it and he didn't seem concerned especially since I am not bleeding, but I just wanted to know if anyone else had this too.

    Hey Emily! My cramping is more like 'I'm about to get my period cramping.' It lasts for a few seconds then goes away.

    Yeah I get that, too. This is so nerve racking!! I am a paranoid person now and I don't know if I like it.

    How are you feeling? Any m/s yet? I am feeling a bit nauseous and tired, but that is about it.

    I get that too.  I've read it's your uterus stretching / getting ready to carry a baby.

    Whew! It was freaking me out a little, but knowing that someone else has it too makes me feel better.

    Im having the same pain on my left side!! and we are almost the same time frame so im going to say its ok if your doctor wasnt concerned!

    yeah a very mild cramp every so often and then it goes away

    I've felt some pain like that... mine feels almost like muscle cramps.

    doc said if the cramps are unbearable and really sharp and/or if there's bleeding if any kind that's when i should be concerned.  anything less than that is normal.

    The ultrasound tech told me that I ovulated from my right side, leaving a cyst there for a couple weeks, so not worry if I had pain in that area. Maybe you ovulated from your left side. :)
