I tried to use the search function, but it would not show any results. I know this questions get asked a ton, so I am sorry, but would like to know again.
1-What practice do you go to, website if they have one.
2-Where is the practice located?
3-Pedi you use in that practice?
4-Pros and Cons of that practice and or pedi?
5-Any place you think I should stay far far away from?
We are just getting over our 2nd ear infection and I am looking for another pedi who is closer to us and who might shed some new light on the matter.
Re: Pedi Rec's McKinney/Allen Area
We use Dr Guetersloh at Centennial Pediatrics. They are at Centennial Medical Center in Frisco, but are moving to a new office in January (121 and Independence)
We have also seen Dr Weiser and Dr Newton. I really like all of them. I like the practice because they are good with Reese, they take time to answer all of my questions and the nurses are quick to call back. They are always busy, but we don't wait long and I never feel rushed.
The only think that I don't like is that they only have one waiting room. DD was a preemie. When she was little, I would call and wait in the parking lot until her room was ready. But they are going to have 2 waiting rooms at their new office.
Ear infections are no fun! DD is getting over her second and we are seeing an ENT next week
we live in mckinney, but we go dr. deborah bain in frisco
1-What practice do you go to, website if they have one. https://www.healthykidspediatrics.com/html/Home.htm
2-Where is the practice located? lebanon/legacy
3-Pedi you use in that practice? - just the one there and the assistant who i LOOOOOOVE
4-Pros and Cons of that practice and or pedi? they let you alternative vax and also tell you the pros/cons of doing so. they chit chat, answer questions, dont rush you at every appt, its pretty quick usually too (in and out if you want to be)
5-Any place you think I should stay far far away from? i personally detest dr. scott katz from plano pediatrics. they kicked me out for wanting to wait on the MMR vax for dd1. i dont really care if someone is for or against alt vax schedules, but to not have a choice?? he was also extremely rude when i didnt want to do rotovirus or did anything different than he said. he told me to feed dd1 formula (when i now know that i should have simply BFed more), the nurses were pushy, etc.
We use Centennial Pediatrics too. We see Dr. Weiser. She was the only one accepting new patients.
We have only been their once. However, I really liked it there. DS was slightly anemic according to his previous pedi, so when they checked him here, they did the test 3 times, and were much better about the bandage (his other pedi just slapped the bandaid on his toe and I ended up covered in blood.) His previous pedi was in Sherman, so no need to avoid him unless you had planned on driving 35 miles lol.
No real cons so far on Centennial Pediatics. The waiting room is small, but like pp said they are getting ready to move up the road a little ways.
1-What practice do you go to, website if they have one. We go to Pediatric Healthcare Associates and we see Dr. Sutton. Their website is: www.phamckinney.com 2-Where is the practice located? It's located near the intersection of Hardin Rd. and Eldorado Pkwy. in McKinney. 3-Pedi you use in that practice? Dr. Sutton, but we started out with Dr. Frank. We switched because we were so impressed how thorough Dr. Sutton is (she found our daughter's heart murmur when no one else heard it). She never rushes and is very nice.4-Pros and Cons of that practice and or pedi? Pros- Easy to get an appointment, friendly office staff, pediatricians are cool with alternative vax schedules. Cons- Don't really have any!
We also go to Raintree Pediatrics in Allen and we love them.
