Honestly - WHY would anyone get married (let alone make a family) if you were this screwed up??? 10+ slutty women?? And whats worse - his horrible choices that have ruined his entire familys life?? This totally gets me. I am not not blaming Tiger at all. He's a scumbag for cheating, but I DON'T get women who will knowingly have affairs with men they know are married. Do they have no respect for themselves or the wife or kids. As an adult kid of someone whose parent has had/is having affairs I HATE my father, but I also really HATE the woman who allow the behavior by being the other woman. I don't understand it AT ALL.

This is what bothers me the most--the number of, and type of women he chose. Wasn't one an adult "film star"?? If in fact all these women are telling the truth. Aside from the VERY bothersome, obvious fact that a married man cheated on his wife.

I don't blame the women for what happened--in my opinion, it is 100% Tiger's fault. He took the vows, he needs to control himself and keep it in his pants. I think the women showed bad behavior and I certainly don't condone their actions but Tiger clearly has issues with staying faithful and that is BAD. Come on big guy, exercise the word NO and respect your wife. It's really not that hard.

For what it is worth, I didn't know that Tiger Woods was married. I know *nothing* about sports stars. so if I was approached by him I would assume he was single.

I spent several years much more POed at my ex's mistress than at him, because shortly after I'd met her (as "supposed friend" that he wanted me to meet, so I'd be ok with them hanging out), I sent her an email that was very clear about the fact that he was a married man. She wrote me back saying she understood and in no way was looking for a relationship with him.

10 years later and they're still together. *shrug*

They're perfect for each other, so I have no animosity any more.

While I do agree with this, I think the majority of the blame lies with Tiger. He is the one who took the voes, he's the one who was married, etc etc. I think the women were wrong for sleeping with a married man.....but the married man is the one who commited adultry...who jeopardized his family, who was most in the wrong IMO.

The thing I find most interesting about the Tiger debacle is that it's always the "squeeky clean" ones who have the most skeletons in their closet....those who try to act holier than thou who are doing the most hurtful things. I just find that interesting.

A guy I know who is married with kids, asked me out, he is a friend of a friend and they have an "open relationship". He actually asked for my number at a wedding in front of his family and I thought it was like a "hey if we have a party we will invite you" kind of thing but no, he actually called me and asked me out to dinner. I was appalled. Ewww. Why on earth would I want to go out with a married guy? what's in it for me? I hear you, I do not get it either.

You're probably right, it comes from managers, endorsements etc etc....but I just find it interesting that people who are super squeeky clean (Tiger, Kobe, Michael Jordan etc) fall HARD when stuff like this happens...whereas other athletes who aren't "fronting" that they are super family men, and all around clean great guys...don't seem to eff up as badly...or when they do it's not nearly the big deal cause it's "expected" maybe.

Either way, it's not right, just interesting (to me at least).

I am a bit shocked how this has all imploded. I am not shocked he has been unfaithful, I am more shocked at the multitude of women that keep coming out of the woodwork. I just keep thinking how did his wife NOT know. Even if he traveled alot without her...she had to see some signs that she ignored. But, what was the final straw??? Violence is unacceptable, but I do support her that she does seem to be standing up for herself and her kids during this situation.

I actually know someone like this. We were super close friends for many years. I always thought he'd make a great husband to one lucky gal. Knowing what I know about him now, being unfaithful, I'm SO glad we never took our friendship further.

And I have asked MANY times, why did he bother to get married and have kids if he wanted to be 'single'. He has no answer. Not that there is justification.

It's sad.

Eh, Tiger's a douche and those women obviously lack self-esteem. The thing that I don't understand is why not just be single and bang whores all day long? Why must you have a family and drag them along in your f'ed up morals?

I got that email with a beat up Tiger and his wife posing while she held a golf club. I forwarded it to my dh and wrote...

Be warned. Except I would use a bat since baseball is your sport of choice.

The opportunites for these sports stars to cheat seems greater than the average Joe. I find it sad that these guys really can't just keep it in their pants.

Did anyone see the SNL skit this past weekend? I thought it was hilarious. Finally a wife who gets p!ssed! I'm so sick of those wives who stand serenely beside their d-bag husbands at press conferences as they talk about their transgressions.

I actually had a terrible dream the other night that DH pulled a Tiger on me. I was in such a down mood the next day. I finally told him about it late in the day and he laughed and said that no way would he do that b/c he knows I would go all Elin on him.

I'm more pissed at the media for making this a news story. Who really cares? Sports star turns into somewhat of a rock star with his lifestyle, travels a lot, makes a lot of money, lets the celeb part of it go to his head despite his family. Plenty of slutty groupies line up to help him fall. It isn't a new scenario. I happens. Everyone is an individual and makes their own decisions whether I agree with them or not. I'm just wondering why the media is cramming this story down my throat. It is like the Octo-mom thing. Are they going to start calling him Deca-slut?Now that would be entertaining! I just want them to drop the news story so our society can focus on REAL issues.
