Re: Cures for heartburn

  • Lots of milk helps me, or vanilla ice cream or yogurt.

Chocolate and tomato anything are bad. I haven't been eating pizza at all which is my absolute favorite!

  • Milk helps me.
Baby number two! Coming soon! June 8th.
  • Try milk!

Donuts make mine act up.. and of course the spicy foods.. pizza sauce.. chocolate and caffeine are all things my dr said to stay away from!

  • Anything tomato makes mine awful. Coke and chocolate are my worst enemies, and I have been elevating my head at night to keep the acid down. I also drink some water before hitting the hay to calm the acid too.
  • Lately, everything gives me Acid Reflux and I have never had it before.  I know you said you don't have any meds, but I have found that Soft Chew Rolaids help, 2 of them.
  • stay upright after eating,  eat small meals, avoid tomato, citrus, soup did work wonders for me *cr mushroom*,  drink some milk,

ask Dr next time to perscribe something--even if only take it when need it.

  • milk can help. sometimes an apple will settle it down a little.

lots of things set it off for me- tomato saucy foods like spaghetti/pizza, spicy foods, cheese, big red grapes once gave me really bad heartburn, and then i'd eat blueberries and it would go away..weird.

  • Get some meds when you can! When I've already taken mine and still have bad heartburn, a tall glass of milk helps. Lying down within the first hour of eating makes it worse. Sometimes, I don't even have heartburn till I lie down.
