Hi Ladies,
I'm pregnant with twins and we are so excited but worried. They found out during our first few ultrasounds that I have a bicornuate uterus and that puts me at high risk. The u/s tech really scared me about PTL and the babies running out of room early. The one good thing is that both babies are in their own "horn" so they aren't right next to each other. I had an appt for a high level u/s last week to check things out (so far everything is ok) and I go to the MFM in January. Anyone have this with twins? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Re: new & ? about bicornuate uterus
no advice- but wanted to say congrats and welcome!
You might be more apt to get responses about the bicornuate uterus if you put that term in your subject line.
I have a slight bicornuate uterus and I carried my twins until 33w 4d. I was worried too that I wouldnt be able to carry them but I did make it that far. Make sure your docs keep an eye on you as high risk. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy.
And stay off google. It will only scare you and make you more worried.
Ditto pp. Do NOT google! I did after I found out I had a bicornuate uterus after my first u/s, and it scared the bejeezus out of me. I was certain terrible things were going to happen, but nothin'! In fact when I delivered at 36w3d (due to developing pre-eclampsia), they were both head-down & cozy in there.
I wouldn't stress until your doc tells you that you have something to stress about, but I know that's easier said than done.
Congratulations!
