Why does this always come to me at 3am?

in 3rd Trimester

I have this sudden urge to bake some delicious desserts. Like...whip up a storm with a tornado of dirty dishes behind me, but a counter FULL of tasty treats.

Should I bake up a storm, go to bed, or continue sitting here (watching crime shows and bumpin')?

    bake!!! ?I made cookies, brownies and pumpkin bread tonight. ?Too bad sweets give me heartburn :(

    I would bake if I had things to bake. I can't make stuff from scratch. Lol.

    Ok! Yay! I'm off to preheat the oven and get baking!! I need to take lots of breaks though because I get terrible cramps standing up...see you all in a few!

    Me tooooo!  Always!  Tongiht, it's apple pie. 

    Bumpies at the rate that we bake this early (or is it late) in the day, we should just open up a bakery and call it.... "Bump Bakery"

    Ok, going to make chocolate chip cookies first. While those bake I think I'll mix up some cake batter. Now what kind should I make? chocolate..vanilla...carrot...any other ideas?

    Shhhoooot! I don't have cream cheese...and I knew I didn't have cream cheese either. What is carrot cake without cream cheese frosting?

    I think we'll have to go with chocolate cake tonight. I'm ok with it. Big Smile

    Ok, I think I'm going to make chocolate cupcakes. That makes them cuter, right? Almost as good as carrot cake and easy for DH to grab one on the way to work!

    Ok..so preggo brain forgot that most of my kitchen is still packed in boxes! Grrr! So my cupcake pan is boxed up...with my electric mixer. I usually mix with a wisk or a fork anyway (then I can sit on the couch), but I wanted to use it since I am so tired.

    Then...I was pretty upset and dropped an egg right on my pretty kitchen rug. Grr. My rug can only be drycleaned, but we'll be testing that tomorrow. I usually spot clean, but I want to wash it big time with gross eggs on it.

    Now I sit here, mixing the chocolate batter that will turn into cake, not cupcakes.

    Alrighty, I just finished licking the bowl clean. Now I don't have the energy to frost the cake or do any dishes. Oh well. I guess we'll have to get to that tomorrow "night".

    DH will be waking up in an hour and half, so I better sneak in bed with him so he has no idea who did the damage in the kitchen. Embarrassed It wasn't me!
