i see my own ticker getting dangerously close to the one year mark (well, 2/3 of the way there. still!) and i see all of your cuties growing in your tickers and siggie pics, and i just can't take it any more. they grow SO FAST.
it's just amazing, how when i was going through IF i felt like every day was a freaking eternity. and now i feel like time slips away so quickly.
::sigh:: they are going to be teenagers in like 5 seconds.

Re: moms - the rapid aging of our children. something must be done.
DH thinks I'm so weird because I cried (several times..) as Jack neared one. And now - we're past one. Sigh.
It shouldn't go this fast. I thought I was going to have a little baby for a long time. And it was a minute.
(On an entirely unrelated note - have you seen "put a sling on 'em" - the baby wearing mama music video? HILARIOUS - thought of you immediately, of course!)
"When it comes to sleeping, whatever your baby does is normal. If one thing has damaged parents enjoyment of their babies, it's rigid expectations about how and when the baby should sleep." ~ James McKenna, Ph.D., Mother Baby Behavioral Sleep Center, University of Notre Dame
I know what you mean! I feel like Christmas 2008 was just yesterday. I was about 24 weeks pg, barely showing. Enjoying my pgncy. Couldn't even beleive I was pg!
I was sitting with Nicholas feeding him his bedtime bottle and my mind started wandering. Nicholas is 37 weeks 4 days old. I had him at 37 weeks. That means that people who got their BFP right around the time Nicholas was born are getting ready to meet their babies really soon (like epphd).
I also notice how much of a little boy he is starting to look like (not a baby baby). As much as he is going to give me a run for my money, I can't wait to see what kind of little boy he will turn out to be. He is such a joyful/happy baby and so so good. I just hope this isn't the calm before the storm of toddlerhood. LOL.
You don't have to tell me.... take at look at my sig! My daughter really is gonna be a teenager in like 5 seconds...
It's so sad... and it goes faster with each child too.. maybe because you know what's coming... It just feels like time is flying and I hate it!!! It makes me want to take the kids and go live in the mountains somewhere away from all the distractions of our daily lives... somewhere where time moves a little slower and I can focus on them. Even as a SAHM I still don't feel like there's enough time to just relax together at home because of all the demands of school and the activities they want to do...
I just want them to stay little!!!

Maybe I'm a total freak, but I can't fight age progression, they are GOING to get older... so I just embrace it. I am having the time of my life watching Ava "bloom" into a kid. Damn this kid makes me belly laugh EVERY.SINGLE. DAY. ....
Today I handed her a book of Kai Lan (the chinese cartoon) and she takes one look at it and says "yahhh yahhh!" and points to the grandpa. She even got the intonation right. holy carp. That kind of memory retention and now the ability to SHARE that with me... just amazes me. I love watching her grow.
I have no choice. But it's fun, in my eyes.
mmmhmmmm. It's all fun and belly laughs till someone grows boobs and a 'tude sassier than your own. Just you wait. You'll wonder where in hell all the time went and wish she'd stopped all that blooming several years earlier.
Seriously seriously LMFAO!!!
God help ALL of us if Nemo ends up with a tude sassier than her Momma's!!!!
All of a sudden I'm very happy to have all boys. My 14 yr old is a cake walk compared to my friends's teenage daughters.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

I also cried several times before Caroline's 1st birthday. And now, she's walking (usually running though) and talking a mile a minute.....and getting a bit of a "tude" of her own.
