  • Delilah is on a similar schedule and she'll be two months in a week.

Eats every 2-3 hours during the day.  Goes to sleep between 9-11pm, then up twice to eat during the night (usually 1-2am and then 4-5am) then up at 7am.

Every now and then she only wakes once to feed, but she's practically ravenous when she does.

  •  My LO doesn't STTN yet.  He eats every 2-3 hours during the day and night.  He will occasionally sleep for 4 hours straight, sometimes during the day and sometimes at night, but that's still fairly rare.

  • Mrs. Erin your Delilah is so CUTE!!!!
  • I EBF and DS has been sleeping 8+ hours at night since about 8 weeks.  We started giving him a bottle at night.  I think it helps him fill up for the night since bottles are so much"easier" to eat from and babies typically eat more from a bottle then the nursing.  We started with 4oz and now he's up to 5.5 oz.  I hate pumping every night to replace his bottle but I love the sleep.

    This is us exactly.

  • I wish there was a magic way to get them to sleep but I really think it just depends on the baby.

I am EBF as of a  week ago and DD has slept about 8 hours straight the past 4 nights (knock on wood). Before that it was around 6.

I didn't do anything differently this time then I did with DD1, yet at 9 months she was still getting up every 2 hours..

Actually, I can think of a few things I'm doing differently, mainly due to how they BF (DD1 lazy nurser and took hours and pretty much snacked all day, while DD2 is super fast and is done in 10 mins. I've read that if they snack a lot they get used to that and want to snack through the night as well. That would explain a lot for DD1's sleep habits I guess).

Also, I do my best to put DD2 down drowsy but awake. Doesn't usually work, but sometimes it does. Supposedly that is a biggy for STTN, but I think that depends on the baby more then anything. DD1 would NEVER let me do that.. DD2 is much more laid back.

  • My LO nurses at 930 and is asleep by 10.  She doesn't get back up until 430  sleep until 730  nurses again and goes back to sleep until 9  So it is possible
  • DS is 10 weeks and sleeps from 11pm-4am then back to sleep till between 7 & 8am.  Pedi said that once they are between 11-12 pounds they will sleep for longer stretches. Don't know why, but DS is almost 14 pounds now, and has been sleeping in at least 4 hour stretches since around 12 pounds. GL!
