Seriously Merry Maids?

We usually have our house cleaned when we move out. SInce we're moving in a few weeks, I had Merry Maids come out to do an estimate. Keep in mind this is an estimate to clean an EMPTY house.

Their estimate was $700. Holy mother of god! 

I know we live in a pricier area now, but really? It usually costs around $200.  

Our house is maybe 1800 square feet. 

Guess what pg woman is gonna be scrubbin ' floors?

    thats exactly what id say it would be. its a move-out clean, right? thats pricey. renters take deposits for that alone - which can be $1000 for cleaning.

    Really? Why is a move out clean more expensive? Aren't you doing less work than normal since you're not dusting or moving furniture or vacuuming?

    This also does not include the oven or fridge.

    I'm just in sticker shock because I've had move-out cleanings done 3 or 4 times and it's always been $200-$250 for the same size house. Are they trying to tell me my house is really dirty? LOL
