If you are already thinking about strollers, what kind???

I do not want to have a jogging stroller and regular stroller- just one that will allow me to take long walks in my neighborhood and occassional outings.  Easy to get in and out of car is bonus, and I like the idea of clipping car seat in when needed.  What kinds are you thinking of looking at?

  • DH and I want the Chicco travel system

  • I really like the Chicco travel system.  We've messed with it in store, and it's super easy to fold and unfold.
  • My brother talked my mom into buying him the Bugaboo (they live in NYC though) - but, when I looked at getting a jogging, a regular and an umbrella I saw I'd be spending the same amount...so, I'm not sure...

Have heard great things about the Orbit, too...but, also $$$$$$$

  • Going with a Chicco. Highest rated in CRs.

  • I recommend the BOB Revolution -- great for jogging/hiking trails, folds up easy! (A bit $$, but worth it.)
  • I'm getting the Inglesina Zippy.  I would have gotten the UppaBaby Vista but it's out of my price range.

  • Got the Chicco travel system.  My sister has one and it's so easy to move around, pretty lightweight, and rated high by Consumer Reports.

  • We have the Bumbleride Flyer and it does all the thing you mentioned:)

    Ditto!

  • We love our BOB revolution.  We also have a Maclaren umbrella stroller for something a little lighter but the BOB is super easy and we could have probably done fine with just it.
  • I love my Graco Quatro Tour but it is very heavy.  If  I could go back and do it over again...I would have bought the lightest stroller a car seat would have gone into!  Strollers are like desserts in a bakery.   As soon as you pick something, you want what the other person is having.  :)
  • FWIW, I've seen a lot of complaints on BRU about the Chicco stroller that comes with the travel system.  A lot of people say those little wings in the seat make it too narrow and cut into their childrens shoulders when they get bigger.

  • The Quinny! Pricey but all my friends have it and LOVE it! We are getting the 4 wheel vs. the 3.

  • We are looking at the Silver Cross Sleepover Deluxe. It is only available in England, but bc the DH is English, we have family that will send one over to the States for us.
  • Definitely a travel system but I haven't fallen in love with any yet!

This. The quinny zipp so light and compact. We do a lot of traveling and going places. I don't want anything bulky. I also really like the idea of the car seat that ?snaps in and out.?

  • I really want the Bumbleride Indie.  It's pricey, but we're getting a friend's furniture, so I figure I can spend the extra money on the stroller.

  • Get the BoB Revolution stroller with the attachment for the infant seat.  I love my BoB and wish I had done this from the beginning instead of buying a snap n go.  People stop me on the street to talk about how much they love their BoBs when they see me with it.

  • Definitely NOT going with a travel system. They are too darn bulky for my taste.

We're going with a Snap n Go stroller for the car seat, and a Maclaren Techno XLR - which can be used from birth up to 65lbs.

  • I highly recommend the Baby Jogger City Mini with the car seat adaptor bar. You can fold it with one hand while holding a baby or car seat in your other hand.  It folds flat and stands behind the driver's seat of my car, so I don't have to open the trunk each time I run an errand. You can use it from birth to 50 lbs, and the car seat adaptor bar is up high so the baby is easy to reach (up higher than with most travel systems). It is easier to steer than any stroller I've used.

As a former nanny, I've had a lot of experience using the Graco and Chicco travel systems, and to me they are just too heavy and bulky to use often. Most people quit using them and opt for a cheap umbrella stroller after their child outgrows the infant seat. To me, they are a pain to have to get in and out of the trunk every time you go into a store, especially if it is raining!

Not sure if you are ready to buy it, but I saw the Quinny Zapp on babyuniverse.com's outlet for $159 today. I think they have it in lime green and capri blue. Here's a link!

  • With DD we got the chicco travel system and we got the Bob Revolution, you can't go wrong with either, I love them both. We will be getting the bumbleride indie twin most likely and may also end up with the joovy ergo too for this baby.
  • I recommend the Chicco. Used it for DD-took a ton of abuse(I even ran with it before I got a jogger) and still in great shape for baby #2!
