Hey 20 isn't so bad... just wait until she's older and makes the worlds most awful faces at the camera like my 3 year old does! So funny!!!
I am doing good! This whole thing has been SO much easier the second time around. Being a mom for the first time pretty much rocked my world. Now? Doesn't seem like such a big deal since we already know what we're in for!
Sydney woke up this morning with her eye crusted shut. Uuuugh. Called and managed to get her and Maddie to the dr. all by myself while it was pouring outside and Maddie managed to demolish her umbrella yesterday because she was sooooo excited about the rain coming! Patting myself on the back on that one! Anyhow, we got drops for the goopy eye - here's to hoping it clears up fast. It's so sad!!!
How are you? How does Zara sleep? I'm looking forward to having some sort of a sleeping pattern down!
::butting in:: Congrats again, Niki! My DD had clogged tear ducts from 1mo and finally grew out of it by 4mo. Her eyes were crusty and sometimes goopy - so sad! Is that what Sydney has? Hopefully she doesn't have it as long as DD's, I hated to see her with the crusty eyes.
Hahahaha you are one brave mommy!! I wouldnt even attempt to take just Zara out today!! You rock, lady!!
Zara has a super mellow and awesome personality...but she does not sleep. She has major tummy issues that I *may* have gotten to the bottom of...I am still testing a few theories. Other than lack of sleep I am fine. Just getting anxious for out trip to Dubai. Thats gonna be a loooonnngggg flight!!

Honestly I'm not sure if that's what it is or not. Before I took her into the pedi that's what I was thinking as I have a co-workers whose kids both had this but the pedi never specifically said this. He said something about how babies don't have tubes big enough to drain stuff from the eyes so it's pooling up and that's how it got all goopy. Weird, no? Did you have drops to put in when hers acted up?

Totally random but if you breastfeed a few drops of BM is supposed to help treat eye issues - weird, I know but it worked for us. One of the LC we saw at the hospital recommended it.

I've heard that BM can help eye issues, too, but I didn't try it. Our pedi didn't give us drops, she just told us to massage the ducts and use warm compress to wipe them when there was build up. One cleared up quickly - probably a couple weeks - and the other took ~3mo. Sounds to me like it could be clogged ducts, I just found this article that explains how to massage and benefits of BM for treatment. Hope her eyes clear soon!!
Re: zees
: ) thank you so much! It took me like 20 takes to get that pic...lol
How you doin' mama?
