Max & Ruby

Usually when Dora is on B will watch it but will also play while watching it. Well Max and Ruby just came on and her eyes have been glued to the tv for the past 15 minutes. She is even sitting on the floor watching it (never really happens). I must tivo! :)

  • My DD thinks Max is hilarious! ?I have been meaning to look up the deal with their parents, here is a quote from the author.

    ?

So, what does this have to do with Max & Ruby's parents? Well, sometimes kids have to work things out on their own. Rosemary Wells tells Nick Jr. that "As in most other classic stories, we don't see Max & Ruby's parents. I believe that kids resolve their issues and conflicts differently when they are on their own."?

This is all well and good, but it gets creepy when Ruby is doing everything from making Max's lunch to putting him to bed at night. I feel so sorry for her. It's like when I used to watch "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and the part came when Lucy woke up in the middle of the night and went to the pumpkin patch to bring Linus home, and I used to wonder how their parents could not know that their little boy never made it home from trick or treating.
