if your milk was slow to come in

How long did it take for your milk to come in. Its now been 10 days since my girl were born and I am getting only 2 oz total for both. Although it has increased its still not alot. How long did you wait and when did you call it quits and do formula?

    Mine took like 4 or 5 days to come in. I was pumping every 2 hours regardless, which I think helped. My girls were in the NICU and they also recommended we do "skin to skin" contact (a.k.a. "kagaroo care") to help with this (babies would lay naked on my bare chest with a blanket covering), which I swear worked miracles. Maybe you could give that a try??

    I started supplementing in the hospital, but my milk really came in at like 5 days, and the volume really picked up at about 2 weeks. I ate oatmeal every morning and took Fenugreek to help increase my supply.

    I would at least wait until the 2 week mark - I have heard that is the turning point most of the time.
