Any Santa recs in N Dallas that allow you to also take your camera and shoot the picture while LO is on Santa's lap?

North Park santa does. You have to get there early though and get a ticket for your place in line. We went last year during the week and it wasn't that bad. I heard it can be pretty bad though on the weekends.

north park is ridiculous. but the best santa in the area is the one at the new allen shopping stuff. the one who used to be at stonebriar. he is amazing, you *rarely* have to even wait at all.

The Santa at Villages in Allen does not allow a personal camera. But like Punk said there is no wait.

We went to both Northpark and Allen today and while each Santa had pros and cons the pictures were by far better at Northpark. The wait sucked though. Especially since I had to do it two days in a row.

Is this the Santa that dresses up like he is working at his toy shop? If so, I didn't know he moved. I love him and was so excited for my DD to have her pic taken with him. I just assumed he was still at Stonebriar and was planning on heading up there next week to have her pic taken with him.

he was the santa at stonebriar - not last year - but the year before.. and then previous years. i adored him.

I haven't bought the digital file from Northpark yet because I wasn't sure which Santa I would like better. At Northpark the digital file is $65 and at Allen it's only $15 but it is not a print quality file, probably on 72 dpi.

Anyway I scanned both. I like the background of the Northpark image better plus because the Allen Santa placed DS in front of him the Santa is in focus but DS is not completely in focus. It was hard to tell that on the monitor though. But it's obvious in the photo. Plus I prefer the full red Santa suit on the Northpark Santa.

I haven't seen any other santa than Stoonebriar, but IMO, Stonebriar Santa is wonderful! He doesn't have the full red suit, the toy shop-like one. But he has really red cheeks, short white beard and white hair. It's my first year here, so not sure if he's the usual one or not, but he's good & I haven't seen crazy lines there

Thanks for posting the pics of the 2 Santa's.

I think I am still going to go to Stonebriar next week and have her pic taken with that Santa. I was at Willow Bend Sunday and that Santa has the full red suit and he was amazing looking. There was also no wait but I am sure the closer we get to Christmas it is more likely there will be lines. If I don't like the one at Stonebriar I will take her to Willow Bend. Heck, I may even take her there so we have one with the "Toy Shop" Santa and on with the traditional red suit Santa.

I hope she doesn't freak out on him but I think she will be okay. I think next year it may be more likely she will freak out on Santa. :-)

I don't know if Bass Pro is too far for you to drive to, but they give you a free photo, its poor quality, but they also allow you to take your own. We went to Bass Pro up in Tulsa over Thanksgiving weekend, so I can't vouch for the Santa here, but they usually have lots of fun things to do as well after or before the picture. We made a Santa Bobber (red and white fish bobber with cotton for a beard and googly eyes). Wyatt had tons of fun. But like I said that was in Tulsa, but I am sure it is pretty standard store to store I would think.

Hmm I can't decide if we'll do Santa at the villages, stonebriar's or willow bend! I just don't want to pay crazy money for one pic. Thank for all the advice!

We did pics with Santa at Stonebriar Mall last year and the Allen Village this year. Stonebriar let us also take our own pics and video but Allen did not. I thought Allen was overrated. There was hardly a wait, but they rushed everyone and were pretty pushy. We were literally in and out of the entire place in less than 5 minutes (wait and all). DS was in his lap less than one minute. The photographer also only took 3 pics and made me pic from those only, even though they were all terrible. We'll be going back to Stonebriar next year. I was pretty disappointed and I'm considering going to Stonebriar again this year for a second Santa experience. I've also heard Northpark is great, but again the wait is probably pretty long.
