brownish spotting... Help

I just went to the bathroom and had brown spotting I know I shouldn't worry unless it turns red, but I have had nothing until now.  And of course I have more cramping now than before (which I'm sure is my head spinning around because I just want this baby to stick so badly)  I have felt so great and everything has been so wonderful I just would hate to think anything bad could happen!  I just need some reassurance, has anyone else had this, and now things are fine?

  • If you have some cramping, I would probably get to see a dr. as soon as possible. Better safe than sorry right?

  • call your doctor...they can give you a better answer and see you in the office.
  • I repost this a lot since I was in your position before. This happened to me around 8 weeks and I ended up losing a twin (that I didn't know was there). They did an ultrasound to discover this. I'm not trying to scare you but just letting you know it's not always ok, but I really hope everything is for you. Call your doctor like the PP say.
  • I would call you doc.  I had painful cramping and some pinkish spotting at exactly 9 weeks, and of course, I was freaking out, so I went to the docs for an ultrasound and it turned out to be a cervical polyp.  Baby was fine.  I would def. call them and let them know what is going on though and see what they suggest.

  • Around 7.5 weeks I had a puddle of brown blood in my underwear. I had no unusual cramping, just the normal cramping. I called the doctor and they scheduled an u/s and it turned out that everything was fine. They don't know why it happened. I do have low platelets though which they found out later so that may have caused it. My doctor always wants to know about bleeding so def call.

  • It doesn't always mean bad, but it can.  My 3 m/c's had this - but keep in mind it can be very normal during preg.  Call your doctor please!  They can at least do a blood test to check your hcg levels...

  • Thanks for all the advice, I called the doctor she said if it happened once no big deal, if it continues to call her back.  I have gone to the bathroom twice and nothing so I am feeling much better about it.  I think it may have been because we had sex last night and irritated the cervix.  Lets hope, I have lots of positive thoughts!
